Import Revolution

The happiest place on earth, literally

Sure, there's an oversized mouse with a high-pitched voice roaming some theme park in Anaheim, but that's not the reason March 22, 2003, was a day filled with grins and smiles. It was because Vision Entertainment brought Import Revolution to the Anaheim Convention Center--literally a hop, skip and a jump away from the mouse's kingdom. Import Revolution, otherwise known as Irev, jam-packed the main halls with sick cars, hot chicks and audience-participant activities to keep the crowds pumping from 4 to 11 p.m. The most heated competition proved to be the club/team competition, where the more popular groups such as Team Hybrid, Influx and Techna brought together their best cars to compete for trophies and bragging rights to determine which was the top crew. A few feet from the show venue, BFGoodrich was offering show participants an opportunity to flex their driving skills in the new Mazda 6 equipped, of course, with BFGoodrich tires. Skip Barber school instructors sat shotgun and offered track tips and techniques to improve the participants' driving skills. Not a bad concept for those enthusiasts who enjoy hot chicks and fast cars. Did you think we would forget to mention the import models and swimwear competition? Come on now, this is 2NR magazine--not Good Housekeeping. Anne Fibion Waterwear provided the much-needed thongs and skimpy swimwear in the IRev catwalk show to stir the import crowd into a frenzy. If seeing your favorite model dressed in a bikini wasn't enough, the 2003 Revolution idols--Sasha Singleton, Jasmin Alejandrino, Cherie Roberts and Flo Jalin, to name a few--were on hand to autograph pictures and take pictures with fans. It's said a picture is worth a thousand words, so we now leave you with some photos, and we'll see you at the next Import Revolution on the East Coast.
