Mega Web A short train ride through Tokyo will take you to the Odaiba area and to the Pallete Town plaza, home of Mega Web. Mega Web is Toyota's museum showcase, featuring an auto design exhibit, Formula One display, simulator ride, theater, test drive area and a showroom with Toyota's entire lineup on display. The world's largest ferris wheel can also be found at Pallete Town, which can easily soothe angry disinterested girlfriends who waited all day at Mega Web. | History Garage Technically... History Garage Technically part of Mega Web, the History Garage can be found directly across on the ground floor of the Pallete Town plaza. Inside, you'll find elaborately decorated displays of European and American streets, filled with classic cars such as Corvettes and Celica 2000GTs. Downstairs is the Grand Prix Garage, where a restoration area and gift shop is surrounded by Toyota racecars. Pictured is the seating area for the caf. That's right, you'll be munching on a sandwich between a Toyota GT-One Le Mans car and a WRC-spec Celica. | Nissan Gallery Found in the... Nissan Gallery Found in the high-end Ginza district of Tokyo, which is most famous for its expensive shopping selection, the Nissan Gallery is the big-N's showcase for new and classic cars. Here you can buy Nismo merchandise, such as keychains and pens, and check out concepts like the PIVO, a cockpit rotating experiment that workers are all-to happy to demonstrate every few minutes. | Honda Collection Hall Ok.... Honda Collection Hall Ok. First off, we'll level with you. The Honda Collection Hall isn't in Tokyo at all. Rather, it's a few hours away in Tochigi at the massive Twin Ring Motegi racetrack. Come in, catch a GT or formula race (trust us, it's a different experience than in the U.S.) and swing by the three-story museum. Inside you'll find every Honda motorcycle, car, racecar and F1 car on display. The cars on display are constantly rotated as well, so visits on different days could mean different things to see. Also, don't miss the repair area and test track found outside, where technicians maintain all the cars in the museum right before your eyes. It's well worth the journey out there. | | |
