8th Annual Mitsubishi Owner's Day - MOD 2013

Mitsubishi Motors hosted its Eighth Annual Mitsubishi Owner's Day at their Cypress, CA, headquarters with its largest attendance to date. Mitsubishi owners and fans from across the nation gathered to enjoy the numerous exhibits/vendors, food, and activities while sharing their passion for all things Mitsubishi. Hundreds of different models and generations of cars, including Starions, Eclipses, Evos, 3000GTs, Lancers, and Mirages, filled the parking lot with modifications ranging from mild to wild.

Standing out among the hundreds of Mitsubishis attending this year's MOD wasn't a simple task. Owning a machine that catches eyes can be difficult when you're surrounded by a parking lot filled with cars, but among the sea of Evo IX's and X's sprawled throughout the venue stood a trio of immaculate old-school cars, which included a '77 Lancer GSR, Lancer Celeste with a turbo 4G63 swap, and a '73 Galant.

The crowd favorite among Evolution fans was a pair of Evo III's, with one sporting an unusual lefthand drive configuration and the other, a Hsu Racing 700hp '98 Evo VI GSR. Throw in a few ultraclean Starions, first-gen Eclipses, 3000GTs, and the now rare third-gen Delica wagon and, in a nutshell, you have an eclectic collection of Mitsubishi heritage that takes us back to a time when the automaker was bold in design and unafraid to push the envelope.
