Eddie Lee of Mackin Industries This past Saturday, June 6, QuickPay Merchant Services presented the Mackin Industries Industry Golf Tournament 2 at the challenging Journey Golf Course at Pechanga. 63 automotive industry professionals attended the by-invitation-only event to compete in a "Shotgun Format" style golf tournament. Participants engaged in some friendly competition for much sought after trophies and prizes. The trophies featured Sparco steering wheels mounted on a base fabricated by Gary Castillo at Design Craft Fabrication. Golf towels and shirts were also designed by Attic, exclusively for the event. Nick Bunkua, Tyler Tanaka at CIE Studios (formerly of Turbonetics), and Richard Montez (formerly at Pro-Motion Distributing) earned their first, second, and third place podium finishes, respectively. Daisaku Kishida President of Kyo-Ei and Yoshi IIsuka of Project Mu Celebrations at the end of the day included a raffling off of golf swag and grand prizes from Pioneer (AVIC Navigation Head Unit) and Ray’s Wheels (Williams F1 Forged Magnesium Wheel and Rahal-Letterman Forged Magnesium ALMS Wheel). Even the bottom 10 of the bunch was able to win the raffled off Booby Prize—the much coveted Apple iPad. Although over a hundred golf balls were left unaccounted for by the end of the tournament, all participants enjoyed a great day of golfing and relaxing at the world class resort.
