Over 400 show and race contenders saw a 9.78-second street Supra with a "NOCAGE" license plate get DQ'd for . . . wait for it . . . not having a cage, the slowest (yet most consistent) FWD competitor upset his class with 12.609-second runs, a relatively stock Hyundai Genesis win All Motor Sport with a 13.650@103.63 pass, and an old NHRA SC-class Civic blow away Outlaw class competition with a 9.033@165.92. Before that, IFO returned to Montgomery, AL, for the eighth year and fought intermittent downpours. Jacksonville, FL's Stage 6 Motorsports' matching turbo K-swapped Civic coupe and all-motor K-swapped Civic hatch battled nearly the entire field, clinching wins in FWD and All Motor Pro classes, with consistent 9.3s and 11.6s, respectively. Forced Induction Pro saw the 2JZ-swapped 240SX of Sam Collier take a win with a 10.04@139.06 over a Dodge Neon, and All Motor Sport became an H vs. B fight when Pruchaya Tongkul's 12.37-second B20 Civic took out a 12.96-second H22A-powered Civic for the win.
