Import Faceoff San Antonio - 411

You found out first.

Import Faceoff El Abortivo

In drag racing news, the 2010 season is officially over, and Import Faceoff was there to send it off proper with their season-ending event in San Antonio, TX, among their fastest and most exciting all year. Cold weather helped engines perform their best, but fierce winds kept the cars from going fast, as evidenced by local San Antonio racer Ric Stephens' FWD class-winning run of 9.72 seconds (pretty quick) at 127 mph (pretty slow)-he let off when wind gusts nearly put him in a wall. His opponent, Aaron Lopez, clinched the season title even with the loss; his "Stoopid Fast" Civic's damaged trans was just too tall a hurdle to clear despite his 60-second staging games that you can watch by finding this article on importtuner.com.

In a rare occurance, Forced Induction Pro-usually dominated by Supras-was won by local Texas racer Neil Park in his Honda Civic, with a 10.22@140.1 when his rival broke at the line. All Motor competition was even crazier: An RX-7 exploded at the line early on, necessitating a 45-minute clean-up.

Best Car Club honors of the event went to Team 16 Niss, though Team Sunworks claimed the season title, so far ahead in points that they sat the San Antonio event out completely and still took top honors.
