When Mark Arsenal, owner of Fatlace and Illest, told us that they would be doing the Hellaflush show in Hawaii again this year, we knew we couldn’t miss it. From the mainland to the islands, and even to foreign countries, we’ve seen Mark expand the Hellaflush brand like wildfire throughout the car culture world. My brethren magazine editors and I (Super Street’s Jonathan Wong, Modified’s Peter Tarach, and Eurotuner’s Sam Du) decided to grab our cameras, flip flops, and pack into one hotel room while we hit the 808 state. Being so close, Hawaii has strong roots to Japan and Asia. Some of the best cars I’ve ever seen online have come from Hawaii. The 808 could easily put to shame a lot of mainland states. Hellaflush 2011 kicked off in Hawaii but will be all over the country this year so stay tuned. Goose and Belvedere make for bad passengers. Do not try this at home, kids.
