Automass - Chicago, Illinois

What happens when four of the largest forces in the Midwest car enthusiast scene combine to put on one event? You get the grassroots epicness that Chicago now knows as Automass.
ClubFR is well known in the Midwest for hosting some of the most successful open-invite drift events with a veritable list of who’s who in the local community attending. They teamed up their expertise with Touge Factory (a local car shop well known for their Stance brand coilovers and Tra Kyoto Rocket Bunny cars), JDM Chicago (the biggest JDM car community in the Midwest) and Project X (a thriving performance shop in Chicagoland) to host an open-invite drift event and car show at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.
As anyone who has been to a car show can attest, they start to fizzle after you do your first lap around the venue and see everything once. This is why the dynamic aspect of events like Automass makes it such a crowd pleaser. All skill levels were invited to participate in the drift event with three different tiers of drivers. The noobs got to do donuts around a garbage can to hone their skills, the intermediate class did single-car runs through a coned course, and the advanced class . . . well . . . it was pretty much tandem chaos in the best way possible. Nonstop action had the crowd packed against the fence to watch drivers from car clubs like Risky Devil/Junkhouse, Breaking, and Keep Drifting Fun’s Josh Herron.
After the success of Round 1 you can guarantee that Round 2 will be equally as, if not more, epic. To stay in the know check out JDMChicago.com for the date of the next Automass. You do not want to miss it! tougefactory.com
