Good Morning, Mr. Hunt. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, involves the recovery of a favorite American pastime: cruising the beachfront road strip. You may choose your team from either Street Concepts, an operative out of Garden Grove, Calif., or from Kenwood USA, another operative stationed in the Long Beach area. Both are competent, and both can help you in the challenge that lies ahead.
Your primary objective is to bring back the art of "cruisin' the strip." In the past few years, the import performance scene has grown to massive proportions, and this rate of growth doesn't seem to be easing up one bit. With this tremendous growth comes a responsibility to portray import performance cars as mechanically sound, structurally intact and visually pleasing.
The main foes of your operation are the ever-popular "Rich Man's Convertible" covert team. These players, including operatives such as Codename: BMW M3 Convertible and Codename: Mercedes SLK, tend to tarnish the youthfulness of cruising the strip by placing older agents behind the wheels of what should be a younger agent's transportation dream--sporty, flashy and downright fun.
Unfortunately, there is also another foe to contend with: Codename: Detroit Iron. These operatives have been known to take the fun away from any vehicles on the strip, because, although aesthetically pleasing to the eye, they may not have the firepower to effectively wage war.
Street Concepts will be your main partner in executing the mission. It will provide the vehicle and be the backbone for the intelligence and the execution. Beginning with a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, it can provide you with Cerullo sport seats, upgraded interior accents from Suede Radis Upholstery, and MOMO components, consisting of a steering wheel, shift knob and pedals. All of these items will ensure the operative that carries out the mission does so with style and comfort.
While the Eclipse Spyder convertible is an able candidate for this mission, the counterintelligence abilities of the Detroit Iron team may impose a hazard to the success of this mission. With this in mind, we are providing you with the services of several other NOC agents to complete your mission. Axis will provide rolling stock in the form of its 19x8.5-in. NE-O wheels, while Nitto 35-series tires round out that team. The Progress Group and Energy Suspension will provide the rest of the rolling support through a combination of lowering springs and upgraded chassis bushings. AEM will finish up the handling aspect of the mission with an upgraded brake kit, as well as providing several key technicians for the performance aspect of the mission.
In addition to AEM's intake system and upgraded lightweight pulleys, Magnaflow personnel have secured a muffler system that simultaneously quiets engine combustion noise while adding to the aural aesthetics of the assignment; more on the aural aesthetics later. NX Nitrous Express will provide the most support on the performance side by allowing you access to its nitrous oxide kit, complete with polished stainless-steel bottle and steel, braided brake lines. The power available to you through the use of this kit will not be disclosed until such time that you decide to accept this mission. Combining both a performance and aesthetic aspect, both the Radd Hose and Hose Techniques operatives have also agreed to assist you.
The secondary objective of your mission is to provide an aesthetically pleasing and superior alternative to those agencies that may be operating on the beachfront location. This can be accomplished with the skills of the Wings West body kit, custom grille inserts by Twins Custom Concepts, and the color-corrected night-vision lenses done by Fix Auto Collision. The Fix paint job also aids in nighttime stealth mode, if you find yourself needing to travel that way.
In order to fully complete your task, diversionary tactics will have to be applied. The best source for these tactics is Kenwood. It has provided you with its KVT910 DVD head unit that controls the entire diversion system. Digital and Dolby(TM) Surround processing is handled by the KDS-P900 digital sound processor. This unit allows for the excellent ease of switching between aural modes, allowing you to choose whichever mode will benefit you the most. Satellite speakers will manage the soundstage and can be used to distract passersby.
When the mission requires you to draw attention to yourself, the three WS303 subwoofers will provide the necessary sonic blast that can simultaneously astonish and disorient the enemy. Several amplifiers provide more than enough firepower needed to accomplish your mission.
For surveillance purposes, there is also a rear-mounted camera that doubles as a real-time early warning law-enforcement detector to aid in preventing your capture by the wrong authorities. As you can see, Street Concepts has the intelligence you need to get the Kenwood operatives to work together to unify the target directive--complete beachfront domination. Of course--and being a NOC agent you should already know this--in the event of your capture, we will deny all knowledge of your identity and mission and refute any connections that you may make to us.
Good luck on your mission, if you choose to accept it, Mr. Hunt. With all of the agents and covert operatives available to you, we're sure that you can reach the prime directive.
