Without the factory Brembo brakes, this Enthusiast level 350Z had a brake upgrade on its schedule from the date of delivery. At all four corners rest a Stoptech 14-inch four-piston big brake kit, ready to haul down all that twin-turbo induced speed. Suspension upgrades come courtesy of a fully damper and ride height adjustable TEIN coilover system, GReddy tower bar, and a set of Eibach anti-swaybars. Toyo Proxes T1-S tires, sized 245/35R-19 in the front and a massive 275/35R-19 in the rear, now are responsible for giving the traction off the line that the boosted engine now requires. Dropping the car presented some issues with alignment and tire wear, so a SPC Performance camber kit was added to properly align the wheels.
Once inside the Nissan, you will notice that the driver's comfort was upgraded with a new entertainment system and subtle interior accents. The stock stereo system was deemed inadequate, so Kenwood stepped up to the plate. At the heart of the system is a Kenwood KVT-M700 head unit and a KNA-DV2100 navigation system with touch screen LCD monitor. Kenwood speakers all around with a 10-inch subwoofer and five-channel amplifier blast the sounds out to anybody who doesn't want to listen. Slip into the driver's seat, lay your right hand on to the NISMO shift knob and feel the direct shifting action through the gates in the six-speed transmission. Place your hands on the MOMO steering wheel and a smooth yet strong steering response is yours. Peer in the window and a clear view of the Katzkin leather, carbon fiber, and suede interior accents is available to any passersby.
With power, suspension, brakes, stereo and body far beyond what Nissan even tried to sell as dealer options, this 350Z is already on the right path. Combining the smooth styling of the 240Z and the 280Z, along with the twin-turbo nature of the late 300ZX, this 350Z combines respect for the old with technology of the new.
