No sense in making a car look faster than it actually is, so Jordan wanted to make sure this Z packed some silly firepower. Like Michael Jackson hanging out at a day care center, nothing was left untouched; under the hood, that is. Starting with the stock 3.5 liter V6, Jordan and the boys at Evolution Autosports decided to use it as their canvas to go buck wild colorful on the motor. Forced induction was the name of their game and they chose Greddy 18G twin turbos to start the ruckus. The charged air is then routed through a Greddy R32 front mount intercooler equipped with Samco/Greddy hoses and couplings before making its way to the cylinders. More boost means more fuel, so increased fuel flow is directed by a Walbro 255lph high flow fuel pump matched to an Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, AAM fuel rails, and Greddy 440cc injectors. This setup allows for an additional 150 hp over stock, which is plenty muscle to shock and awe. An Unorthodox Ultra G Ceramic Clutch is asked nicely to handle the added power. A host of Greddy dress up items like the oil cap, oil catch can, and radiator cap accents the engine bay while one of the prettiest manifolds we've ever laid eyes on sits right on top, almost giving off its own light and demanding your attention. Kinetix Racing sure outdid themselves with this super polished piece. Like a true soldier, just in case those Greddy 18G guns aren't enough to handle an altercation, Jordan's sidearm is a Nitrous Express RFI Stage one laughing gas setup. Wanna play with this soldier? You better get reinforcements my friend.
Moving on to the interior, the cabin of this car is the epitome of class. Jordan decided to skip the bright colors and gazillion woofers/amps path. Stark black and performance oriented, one glance and you know the owner of this car means business. The first thing you'll notice are the gorgeous Bride Xax racing seats staring you straight in the face . These exclusive seats hold the driver and one very lucky passenger firmly in place. Matching Bride mats adorn the floor and the rear hatch as well. For entertainment purposes, you got all that power under the hood, just drop the clutch and mash the gas for the kind of fun that never gets old. But just in case you have too many points on the license, installed in the center console is a Sony DVX-11A in-dash DVD player feeding data to a Sony XAV-7W 7-inch widescreen flip up monitor. And the rest of toys? It's still all about performance and control baby. Sitting behind the steering wheel, you can just about control anything and everything engine related with the Greddy E-Manage and Profec E-01 until you have that perfect fuel, timing, and boost levels. To monitor everything going on under the hood, Defi 60mm boost, egt, and oil pressure gauges are linked together by the Defi D-link gauge controller. Once the key is in the ignition, the needles dance to attention, ratting out any issues before shit hits the fan.
Clean, sleek, and amazingly quick, this car speaks softly but definitely carries a big damn stick. What's in store for soldier boy and the car now? This Z was meant for tearing up the streets of Fairfax, Virginia. After the car was finished, Jordan felt it would be a shame if it weren't displayed for all to appreciate it as well. And the deal was pretty much sealed once he hooked up with his boys in Team Emotion. In Jordan's own words, "Once the car was done, I did not intend to get into the show scene, but I met up with a great group of guys that had the same passion for cars as I did, Team Emotion. Showing with my crew brings back those memories of being in the Marines and rolling through the Mountains of Iwakuni and the streets of Downtown Hiroshima."
