Body of a goddess-face from hell? Obviously Snoop Dogg wasn't rapping about Mark Yuen's 2004 Infiniti M45 when he lyrasized the song "Lets to play house." Yuen, a resident of Cinnaminson, N.J., spent years of careful planning before building the ideal poster child of VIP styling using his Infiniti as a test bed. With two painstaking months of custom bodywork all under the orchestration of East Coast Auto Body of Pennsauken, N.J., Yuen and East Coast Body worked as a magical dream team to set off true VIP sex appeal-Jersey style. A culmination of Junction Produce components including the front bumper, side skirts, door panels, and rear bumper were custom ordered through JP and air delivered to Yuen's front doorstep. A true believer of the Junction Produce lineup, Yuen took his car to the next level, installing a JP bonnet spoiler, roof spoiler, rear spoiler, billet grill, grill eyeline and taillight eyeline. "I'm proud to say to my knowledge this is the only Junction Produce body kit for the Y34 Gloria (M45) in the United States" states Yuen. "This is a true VIP body kit complete with all spoilers and door caps." The final touch to a spectacular work of art was de-badging the entire vehicle from its U.S. branding and replacing them with the official Grand Tourismo badges only found in the land of the rising sun.
Laid out on a set of ultra-rare Junction Produce suspension, a set of AME Shallen LX wheels serve as a perfect blend of mix and match for the Infiniti's footwork. Rolling on a set of 20x8.5 with a +30 offset up front and 20x10.5 with a +25 offset in the rear enabled Yuen to bring his vision of true VIP status to life. Both front and rear AME slugs were wrapped in a set of Falken FK452 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 which offered mere millimeters of clearance from all four fenders. "I couldn't ask for anything more," said Yuen, as he displayed a look of content.
Yuen ajars the driver-side door as the sweet smell of leather wafts though the air. Combining a rich blend of cherry wood grain interior and a Junction Produce carbon-fiber dash kit was destined to be a perfect match for Yuen's M45. Imagine Audio of Cherry Hill, N.J., was enlisted to transform the Infiniti's factory audio system to a whole new level. Using the existing factory head unit, a slew of Macrom components were installed beginning with a set of Macrom EXT 6.0 front and M1S.60 rear speaker components. A Macrom .4150 four-channel amplifier was used to crank out 600 watts of mind-numbing power to both front and rear baskets. Yuen's appeal to a simple, yet clean approach to audio installation was ominous when asked about his sound system. "I wanted the audio setup to reflect the theme of the vehicle. Nothing over the top or overly flashy was considered when the audio was designed."
Perhaps the only indication that a reputable audio system does truly exist in Yuen's VIP g-ride can be found within the trunk of the vehicle. Emblazoned in a mixture of silver and black carbon trim, Imagine Audio designed a custom enclosure, housing a pair of Micron M1W.10 subwoofers that shake and rattle to every beat of the music with the aid of an M1A.15000D two-channel sub amp. With the help of Tsunami power cables and stiffener caps, the Optima red top battery provides all the necessary juice to both amplifiers to get the job done.
The hard work and long hours spent on the M45 were not overlooked by judges among the show circuit. Yuen's hybrid M45 received top honors in the Infiniti class at this years Global Tuning Awards Show, which premiered on Fox Sports Net. Periodically checking his watch, Yuen quickly jumps into the driver seat as he turns the ignition, bringing the factory 4.5-liter engine to life as the Junction Produce exhaust purred to a deep rumble. Peering from over the dark shaded windows, Yuen offered a quick bit of advice before he raced off into the sunset saying "I truly believe the next wave for the automotive customization industry will be the higher end luxury car market, or VIP cars. With the help of Falken tire and Junction Produce of Japan, we hope to bring the VIP scene to a whole new level. I have some business to attend to but check out Benji's Q45 sitting across the street. He's built a sweet ass ride on an affordable budget." Thanking Mark, I quickly cross the street to scope out the jet black 1998 Infiniti.
