Law not only used his TC as a rolling demo car for the 2005 SEMA show, but has been hard at work developing many of the parts you see on this vehicle. A DME strut tower brace provides additional rigidity to the TC frame while visual aesthetics play an integral role in this TC's appearance. A carbon-fiber door sill, carbon-fiber under panel scuff plate, oil cap, power steering cover, brake fluid cover, radiator cap cover, battery tie down bracket and 1mm stainless radiator diversion plate are all emblazoned proudly with the DME logo, representing Law's company to the fullest. Currently, DME has worked out a deal with Scion to sell DME accessories through their optimized program, which is available through 15,000 dealerships across the country.
With so much attention to detail taking place in the engine bay, it's no surprise that this TC's interior has received an equal amount of tender loving care. With the help of Chuy's Auto Interior located in Torrance Calif., the factory interior was reupholstered in custom suede lining with blue and black highlights. A set of newly purchased Recaro Speed reclineables also received new skins, as did the door panels and rear seats. JT Audio, located in Anaheim, Calif., replaced the stock head unit for a Pioneer Premiere DEH-P780MP head unit equipped with full color OEL display and Sirius radio equipped. DEI 5 1/4-inch front components and co-axel rear speakers are powered by a 1000x watt DEI 4-channel A1004 amplifier. A pair of 10-inch DEI subwoofers built in a custom false floor enclosure rattles the doors off its hinges with the aid of a DEI D2400 mono-amp rated at a mind boggling 2400 watts of bass pounding thunder.
Perhaps the most alluring to the upgrades within the interior would be the slew of HKS gauges, custom mounted on the dashboard. Using a full array of HKS RS DB 60mm gauges, the dash play host to a boost pressure, EGT, water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, and fuel pressure meter. Neatly tucked away from prying eyes is a HKS Type-1 turbo timer. With interior near completion, Law turned his attention towards exterior modifications which consisted of a sleek aftermarket body kit and paint. The TC was driven to 20/20 Autobody in the City of Industry, Calif., to receive a makeover, starting with the bolt-on of a full Kaminari urethane body kit and fiberglass rear spoiler. A Kaminari vented hood was also used and mounted in place before the TC was reshot in factory white and ready for pickup within a week's time.
DME and Law have transformed the once stock Scion TC into a machine that possesses the looks and styling with a boost in power to back its appearance. For now, DME continues to use the Scion TC for R&D with hopes of taking the vehicle to multiple show events and a possible test and tune session on the track in the near future. If by chance you ever come across this ride in your rearview mirror on the streets, be sure to clear a path or face the embarrassment of being owned by this white machine.
