Keeping in check with rules and regulations handed down by D1, the Bomex S15 retains a five-speed transmission plucked from a S14, while minor upgrades include replacing the factory clutch with an ORC twin-disc setup and ORC chromoly flywheel. A Cusco two-way differential setup evenly distributes weight to both rear tires when blazing down the tarmac in a hail of smoke and rubber. Tein Super Drift, 16-way adjustable suspension combined with Swift springs (11kg) enables the S15 to slide into each turn in excess of 80 mph while spinning its 5Zigen Proracer GN+ wheels wrapped in sticky Yokohama Neova compounds.

Opening the door will reveal a simple, yet effective cockpit setup that can easily suit your average street cruiser or weekend road racer. With a mandatory audio system still intact and air conditioning working in proper order, the Bomex S15 has all the amenities that you would come to expect with a daily driven machine. Detailed stitch seaming along the entire chassis frame are subtle clues that detail the story of this S15's competitive nature. Interior upgrades include a Nardi steering wheel, Bride Zeta III buck seats, Willans harnesses and a Safety 21 six-point roll cage. A Tein EDFC controller and Trust Profec B Spec II boost controller are clustered onto the steering column for easy accessibility of Yamano's fingertips. It's no surprise that Bomex, world renowned for their eccentric body kits, used their S15 as their rolling campaign vehicle in SL D1.

With street legal rules forbidding the use of over fenders or custom one-off fender flares, the S15 retains its factory fenders with minor cosmetic changes using a Bomex full aero kit, repainted in polar white along with a set of sleek Bomex side mirrors and rear wing. Miyama high-flash strobe lights were bolted to the undercarriage to add some razzle dazzle to the Silvia as a means of visual entertainment for the fans and crowds who lined the bleachers at each event.

As the series enters its third round of competitive drifting, Bomex and driver Yamano continually search for that winning combination that would inevitably propel them among the top contenders position and rankings. For now, the S15 continues to unsheathe its wielding sword as the fierce battle ensues among a competitive field of 60 cars vowing for the coveted street legal D1 series crown.
