But with this RX-7 Auto Craft took it up a notch. Sitting on the front side is an original Mazda RX-8 face kit, reminiscent of the American way where body swapping was on the regular. This integration, however, looks seamless. Even I had to look twice to notice the silky front end of an RX-8 molded perfectly together with the stout physical frame of the RX-7. Auto Craft loved the transformation so much that they plan on selling the swap including hood, bumper, fenders, radiator support modifications, and OE Mazda headlights to the public in the near future. The RX-8 theme continues in the cabin with choice bits like the steering wheel, shift knob, and seats. Underneath the chassis is a set of 19-inch Volk GTM wheels, 8.5 inches wide on all four corners. The shop decided to go with Toyo Proxes T1R tires and made due with a system of Spirit R-Spec brakes to help these wheels stop on a dime.
What's great about Auto Craft is that its team can manage to tone down their tuning prowess to create something like this RX-7 hybrid, but also bring up their roots by creating supreme track powers like a time attack RX-7, which should be making headlines sometime soon. It's this dichotomy of powers that makes the Auto Craft team one of the prestigious RX tuners in the world, and a force to be reckoned with on the tracks and streets of Japan.
