Nissan 300ZXOwner: Michael LePore, Jr.; Avondale, PA.Gotta love an import capable of burning V8s on a regular basis. It's what we live for. Michael LePore's 300ZX has been upgraded for this reason and only this reason. In its final stage before turbo upgrades, the Z makes a claimed 448 hp at the flywheel and runs a 12.6 at 113 mph.
The Nissan sports a Jim Wolf Technology intake and ECU, along with Stillen downpipes and a GReddy exhaust. A GReddy turbo timer and Profec-B boost controller keeps the turbo in check, as do HKS blow-off valves. An HKS ignition amplifier gives the iridium plugs more spark as the wick is turned up.
A Stillen intercooler provides a denser intake charge while an oil cooler and oversized tranny cooler make sure the petroleum byproducts don't break down in high speed operation.
The stiff stuff is comprised of Tokico five-way adjustable shocks and Eibach springs, and rides on MAS wheels wrapped with BFG rubber.
Outside, the Z's been fitted with a Veilside EC1 front end and Stillen nose panel. Side panels are from Stillen, including the new GTZ IV rear valence and Fairlady Z taillights. A Stillen GT III wing rounds out the cosmetics.
One last thing. There's a couple of TVs inside. How often do you hear of a street-driven car with two TVs pulling 12-sec. timeslips and more than 350 hp at the wheels?
