Lost Love Found

Sometimes Good Things Are Worth The Wait

Hernandez Honda Engine Room

A Password JDM carbon-fiber intake, a DC Sports header, a Fluidyne radiator and a Mugen strut-tower brace all found refuge under a Vision hood, bringing the Civic closer to perfection. Hernandez was set to rock the show and that's just what he did, taking first-place in the 2005 Hot Import Nights Phoenix JDM/OEM class.

But Hernandez hasn't just been sitting on his laurels since. Like many enthusiasts, he's been continually improving his ride. In the last year, he has added an ARC intake, CTR camshafts, Spoon cam gears, Buddy Club exhaust and a full-size radiator. The suspension has a few new bits, sporting parts from Skunk2 and ASR. The interior has gotten a few upgrades too. Like the Mugen FG-360 steering wheel and the first set of Imus Carbon Kevlar seats to grace a car this side of the Pacific Ocean.

Hernandez's relationship with his Civic has been a tumultuous one, but it reinforces the belief that if you love something, you've got to be willing to let it go. If it returns, it was meant to be. If that's the case, Hernandez and this Honda are a match made in JDM heaven.
