Underneath the chassis, Troy went almost purely JDM. First, it would be unforgivable to throw in a set of wheels not made by someone from Japan. That's why Troy made sure his ride was rolling on 17-inch Volk Racing GT-7 wheels, wrapped in Yokohoma AVS ES100 rubbers. The wheels not only help solidify his place as a feature, but also spice up the oh-so-'90s body kit, bringing a sense of maximalism design to an overall minimalist layout. The chassis is dropped 1.5 inches on all four corners by a set of Tein Super Street kit coilovers; stiffness that is helped by a Password:JDM front strut brace and Benen rear strut brace. Inside, the cabin combines the quality of JDM in the form of Bride seats, inserts, upholstery, and floormats, as well as a Mugen steering wheel and pedals, with the creativity of HDM in the form of a custom dash that features a center-mounted gauge pod, holding a set of Defi Link Meter BFS gauges. The Cusco 6-point roll cage accentuates the interior by unifying the entire look, a testament to Troy's overall design aesthetic.
Though his Civic may not be entirely JDM, the car is a work of art that seamlessly blends many styles into one complete product. It's a feat not so easily gained, especially when you live in a town where eating a cheeseburger from twenty different restaurants without having to drive is easier than finding, purchasing, and installing any aftermarket part for a Japanese car. The population at Hanover may be 14,535, which is 34,341 less than what Oriole Park can seat, but the only numbers that really matter are 335 hp, B16A, T3/T4 and 17-inch GT-7. Once you've accomplished that, it doesn't matter where you're from: It's where you're at.
