Whoops!
Based on some erroneous intel, we wrongly credited our Jan '10 cover car, Jamie Carter's Accelerated Performance-built MKIV Supra of Chagrin Falls, OH, as being the world's fastest, based on its best quarter-mile trap speed of 187.4 mph. A man named S.W. from Austin, TX, and his Boost Logic-built, six-speed MKIV rightfully earned that title with a 189.71mph trap speed clocked last year, at the end of an 8.19 ET pass-a record that still stands, as of press time, along with another: the 246mph Fastest Standing Mile record S.W. and his machine also earned last year. Look for more on this now 7.91-second beast in coming months.
