Scion XD RS 1.
Adding to the ranks of the limited-edition xB Release Series 5.0 and tC Release Series 4.0, Scion recently announced its, uh...release of its newest Release Series-the '08 xD Release Series 1.0. Following suit, the limited-edition xD will feature signature Hot Lava exterior paint covering a full DAMD aero kit and rear spoiler outside, and accented seats and interior trim inside. Additionally, the xD RS 1.0 brags an exclusive RAZO shift knob, complementary wheel covers, and an individually numbered badge to ensure authenticity. Is it just us, or does the xD name look like it's laughing at us in print? ...Maybe we're just spending too much time chatting with babes online. www.scion.com
HeadGames
Not only the subject of this month's update on the progress of our monster SR20 build, but also the name of our newest hired hit men-HeadGames in Lawrenceville, N.J. We did a little digging, and it turns out these guys actually developed the head ports that make some of the most well-known SR20-powered drag cars the fastest in the world-including the one powering Mazworx's famed S14 dragger. Of course, Mazworx put their own unique spin on it (as they did to ours), so now we're getting the best of both worlds-Mazworx to bore, reconstruct, and CNC machine our SR20DET cylinder head's combustion chambers to their unique 90mm spec, and HeadGames to apply their signature port and polish and custom-sized valve works.

Brand New Nissan
Nissan/Renault recently announced it will partner with Indian motorcycle and moped maker Bajaj to produce a small passenger-car-code-named ULC (ultra low cost?)-with a wholesale price expected to start at the equivalent of a mere $2,500 USD. The joint-venture initiative will target the growing demand for new, cheap, small city cars by the booming Indian populace, currently being catered to exclusively by Tata Motors. The car will most likely be released under the Bajaj namesake, but seeing a major player like Nissan step into the ber-cheap car ring makes us wonder if this isn't the start of the contradictory next big thing in small car production. www.nissanusa.com
