2NR: Oh...daddy like! You listed DJing as a sport. What is it that you like about it?SM: The way they move and dress. House and hip hop DJs are so sexy! I did an interview with DJ Qbert for a show called Mango Island (www.mangoisland.com) in the Bay area. Qbert is actually hosting the show with me. The guy doing my web site was in Scratch Pickles, DJ Sushi. Mango Island is really cool. It's like E! Entertainment TV that deals exclusively with the Asian scene, and it's coming out on DVD soon.
2NR: Do you have any projects in the making?SM: I was in the newest Santana video just recently.
2NR: Where can we see you in the video?SM: I'm dancing by this silver truck with this Latin chick with a lot of tattoos. The video is supposed to take place in New York, but it was actually filmed in the Bay Area. I think the video is actually out right now.
2NR: Any other projects?SM: I did the most recent issue of Playboy's Wet and Wild. Actually, I did this shoot with Alley Baggett and Tammy Newcomer. Tammy is also from the Bay Area. I see her every once in awhile cause she loves to party too. I also had a part in the Matrix 2. I'm a dancer/fighter in the movie. We were suppose to be celebrating a victory in this underground city called Zion. They mentioned the city in the first Matrix, but now they actually show the city in the second part. When I first got there they looked at my hair, 'cause it was blonde, and they were like, "No blonde hair in Zion!"
2NR: Well, it's not often you see blonde Filipino/Puerto Ricans in L.A.-yeah right! So what type of food did you eat growing up, Filipino or Puerto Rican?SM: Both groups have rice as a necessity, so I ate a lot of rice. If I were to say there were one it would be Filipino food. I love Filipino food, but I'm so sick of rice. I like lumpia, pancit and obe ice cream. I also like Chinese food too.
2NR: What about Balut? (Definition: A Filipino delicacy. A duck egg with a duck embryo in it. First, what is known as "the juice" is sucked out and then the embryo is consumed. I'm Filipino and I can't even watch someone eat this.)SM: OH HECK NO!! I'm cool I'll pass on that!
2NR: Me too! Maybe it's one of those aphrodisiac things like oysters. Last question. Is there a boyfriend?SM: Yes there is, he is very supportive of me. As matter of fact, he is the one that told me to go for Playboy.
2NR: He sounds like a real Import Tuner kind of guy!
