It's been four years since automotive and model enthusiasts alike first caught a glimpse of a stunning Irish and Thai beauty by the name of Sasha Singleton gracing the February 2000 cover of ImportTuner. Notoriety soon followed Singleton as numerous model shoots and TV shows with Playboy began to flurry around this once-unknown jewel. We were captivated with her unforgettable grace and style that would eventually revolutionize the import modeling industry to what is it today. 2NR had the opportunity to revisit Sasha for a candid one-on-one interview to talk about how the import-modeling scene has impacted her life over the years. From never before revealed secrets to future modeling plans, we bring to you the latest scoop on this eurasian beauty.
2NR: How has modeling in the import scene treated you over the years and has it changed your life?SS: Well when I did the first cover shoot for ImportTuner, I felt that it really blew everything up for me as far as my career. At the same time I was Miss Hot Import Nights. It's flattering but the feedback I got from fans back when the February issue of ImportTuner magazine was first released, and even today, is nothing but love. Numerous times fans would approach me and they would tell me how much they LOVED that issue. Even after all these years they ask me to autograph their 2000 issues.
2NR: Dang Superstar Sasha! You know I couldn't help but notice that tight little pink jogging outfit you have on. I'm definitely drooling like Pavlov's dog right now.SS:
2NR: Okay that was lame but speaking of stupid "one liners," like the one I just gave you, with all the numerous car shows you have attended, you must have seen and heard every shady pickup line possible. What was the cheesiest pickup line you've heard?SS: Hmm, it would have to have been, "Oh you look like that model, Sasha Singleton... Only you look much better!" I thought that was so lame because obviously they knew it was me.
2NR: What was your response?SS: Well I didn't know whether to be offended or flattered. How do you respond to something like that? I usually tell the guys I'm her twin sister and sneak off. Just to set things straight: Pickup lines don't work.
2NR: Is this a Sasha Singleton tip for all men out there?SS: Most definitely! Don't do that. Guys just need to learn not to pull those lines thinking they are all slick.
2NR: What was your experience like working for Playboy? SS: Playboy was definitely a really good step, which also happened to take place around the same time as the ImportTuner cover. I think it really helped me gain notoriety in the industry. I recently started working with them again about a month ago.
2NR: When can we expect that upcoming issue to hit the stands?SS: Well I'm actually working for Playboy TV for a show called "Sexy Girls Next Door" which will be airing all of May and June.
2NR: I have to write myself a reminder note on my calendar to set my TIVO when I get back to the office! With your popularity continually blowing up as a model, are you eventually going to oust the popular Tera Patrick as co-host of that show, "Night Calls," on Playboy TV anytime soon?SS: Probably not, but I did work on that show as a special guest before and let me tell you, that show was just CRAZY!
2NR: Crazy? So you were a guest sitting on the sofa while girls were making out right in front of you? That doesn't seem that bad.SS: No, I was actually one of those girls making out.
2NR: Ohh really now?! No shit? SS: I was one of those fax girls who comes out to either demonstrate a certain product, gift or toys while the hostesses are answering the calls.
2NR: So what were you testing out at the time?SS: Um, ice sculptures
2NR: OHH REALLY?!?
2NR: Isn't contemporary art great? So have you been to the Playboy Mansion before?SS: Yes, and that place was just awesome. They had some of the best food.
