2nr: You all of a sudden became affordable to all our parking lot pimps. Give a name to your style.
AL: "Classy Trendy"
2nr: Do you have a crowning achievement?
AL: I've not done anything that's really overshadowed the other but my first "real" big-thing-getting placed in the top 5 of "Maxim's Hometown Hotties" in 2004-was pretty cool. It was a turning point. After that I got 2 spokes model contracts.
2nr: Getting recognized is a big turn-on for you?
AL: I'm not trying to be conceited or anything, but being a Seahawks cheerleader got me recognized back in Seattle. That was back when I was 18. The recognition doesn't really faze me anymore. This is just the beginning!
2nr: So you have some plans?
AL: My plan was to move out here for work and I started modeling because it was the easiest thing to get gigs for...it's become my bread and butter. But since there's a shelf life for models, I started to do some acting. I got agents and a manager and just recently did a national commercial for Miller Lite. I did Wild-n-Out with Nick Cannon and I'm doing Budweiser stuff in Europe for the World Cup.
2nr: Being young and living in Los Angeles, we've got to see you around, right?
AL: I like to dance, so I usually hit the hot spots. This past Saturday I went to a club called Privilege.
2nr: So you are diggin' that A-List type scene. Nice. Getting back to off-camera stuff...do you have some quirky obsession? Like stamp collecting?
AL: I do. I collect vintage lunchboxes (giggles).
2nr: I collect hearts.
AL: What?
2nr: Nothing.
AL: I have a few lunchboxes from when I was little. I have a metal "Carebear Cousins," a "Carebear" and a "Strawberry Shortcake" lunchbox.
2nr: Cute, you must have gotten a lot of attention in the first grade. Ya know, back then if a boy liked you, you usually got a punch in the arm from him to get your attention. Next thing you know you're getting a kiss by the monkey bars. Now that you are older, what does a guy have to do?
AL: The best thing to me, now that I'm older-and as you get older it's not about the looks...especially here in L.A. where you have a million beautiful faces-I like a guy that can hold a conversation. With me, I'm kind of a smart ass so I guess I need someone that can give it back to me to hold my attention.
2nr: So looks don't matter too much nowadays? Working backwards, you'd hope that the guy with the personality you like looks like...
AL: Well, an Abercrombie & Fitch model is not bad to look at...but they're not always "all there" upstairs.
2nr: I believe that all beautiful women are smart and intelligent-and that's what keeps my attention.
AL: I've dated average-looking guys, but their personalities are what I liked most.
2nr: I'm glad we're on the same level...and a perfect match.
