Danielle Lo is many things. Typical is not one of them. Proud of her diverse ethnicity, Danielle's beauty, infectious smile, and sociable personality are just a few things that have helped skyrocket her stardom within the import tuner world. But don't assume this smoking 25-year-old entrepreneur doesn't have a wild side. She enjoys exploring new places, trying new things, and loves spending time with family and friends.
IT: How did you get into modeling?
Danielle Lo: I got into modeling a long time ago. I actually went to a Hot Import Nights show and was walking around with my friends when Amber from Prestigious Models approached me and we stayed in contact. We ended up working together a couple years later down the road.
IT: Do you have any special skills we should know about?
DL: My friends always joke that I've worked just about every, and any, job out there; I have a very versed resume that includes doing a lot of different things. As you may or may not know, I own a nail salon. I've also dabbled in hair and makeup prior to becoming a shop owner. Other than that, I don't know, I'm very good at marketing I guess. Those are all business-related skills.
IT: What was your worst job ever?
DL: I would say working retail is very grueling. I used to be a counter rep at Nordstrom in the cosmetics department and that was a pretty difficult job. Other than retail, there were no really crazy jobs.
IT: Round 1 of Formula D in Long Beach, CA, just passed. Do you have a favorite driver and car?
DL: Well, when I worked for Hankook my favorite drivers were Ken Gushi and Fredric Aasbo. I really like Ken's current Scion FR-S.
IT: Do you have any guilty pleasures?
DL: Umm . . . Right now I've been on an ice cream binge lately. My current ice cream obsession is Creamistry, which is this new liquid nitrogen ice cream concept here in Irvine. It's really good!
IT: What's your go-to drink at the bar?
DL: That would be Madras. I actually just learned the proper name yesterday.
IT: What exactly is Madras?
DL: It sounds fancy, but it's simply vodka with orange juice and cranberry. I enjoy my drink with a splash of lime.
IT: Do you know anything about cars?
DL: Yes, I do, surprisingly! I could replace my own tires, because I got a couple of flats before. I also know how to change my oil. Thanks to all my friends in the car industry, I've learned a few things.
IT: What was your first car?
DL: My first car was a '91 Honda Accord. I referred to it as my little matchbox car.
IT: Can you drive manual?
DL: Yes, I can. I previously owned a Hyundai Tiburon and that was manual but I learned how to drive stick shift with a Subaru WRX, which I don't recommend for people who are learning how to drive stick. It was very difficult.
IT: What are your turn-ons?
DL: I think most girls will agree it would be someone who is funny and has the ability to carry himself well.
DL: Somebody who comes on a little too strong or over confident. I don't like anything like that.
IT: Douchebags need not apply?
DL: Yes, no douchebags!
IT: What was your worst date experience?
DL: I think back in my high school days I was grounded and wasn't allowed to go out with my friends. The only way I went out was if I went out with this guy my mom was trying to set me up with. That was probably my worst date experience. It was an awkward date, but I guess it was my only way of getting out of the house.
IT: What is your favorite feature?
DL: My smile. I'm told I smile a lot-definitely my smile.
IT: Do you have any girl crushes?
DL: Yes, tons! I follow more girls on Instagram than anything else. I really like Nazanin Mandi (Miguel's girlfriend). I think she's very pretty. There's a whole bunch of girls!
IT: If you had 24 hours to live what would you do?
DL: I would probably do the most extreme stuff possible like skydiving, parasailing, hand gliding, you know outdoor activities.
IT: Lastly, anything else you'd like say to your fans?
DL: Yes, I just want to say thanks for the continued support. I know I'm in and out of the scene, because I'm working a couple projects right now. It really means a lot when people comment and leave me messages. I read everything! Again, I really appreciate everyone who's stayed with me from the beginning.
