Up Close & Personal: Christina Linehan

Lately it seems we have been sold on the Hawaiian girls, with December's Pua Malarie, April's Flo Jalin and now June's Christina Linehan. Covering Hawaii's annual StreetCar Show Off has its advantages. This year it was the bomb-ass bikini contest. If you think Hawaii is just full of hot chicks, you're right, but once a year some of the hottest babes come out of the woodwork to compete in this event. Wouldn't you know it, June 2NR model Christina Linehan happened to be one of them. She strutted her stuff in a cowboys-and Indians-type bikini that was held together by her curves. I mean, if she went diving in this thing it would fall off, guaranteed. She was so sexy looking, we knew we had to have her for the cover.

The one problem was she only makes it out to L.A. every once in a while, so fitting her into the schedule was very difficult. It turned out she would be in town shooting for Yolk magazine, which caters to the Asian scene, as well as Muscle Mag. We managed to get one day out of her busy schedule and squeezed her into the photo studio. No time to take her out for the Gary Cheap Date Special, this would be just a pizza and Coke in the studio.

So here she is, the beautiful Ms. Linehan.

2NR: You look like you could be one of those Hawaiian Tropic girls. Have you ever thought about doing that?

CL: I did! Hawaiian Tropic was cool, but I don't really like doing that kind of stuff. I don't mind competing, but I don't like dealing with all the other BS. I've done tons of Playboy stuff and Muscle Magazine. I also did a local show on TV called "Pump It Up," it's a fitness show.

2NR: Do you mean one of those morning workout shows? I love watching those in the morning, but just not for the fitness part of it, if you know what I mean.

CL: I think you speak for a lot of guys. It was a workout show that aired once a week. It's kinda like one of those ESPN workout shows. I like doing the fitness thing, but I wanted to venture out into other things. I like being borderline when it comes to doing other types of modeling. I want to be able to do fitness and normal bikini stuff or normal modeling. I really hate dieting and when I came to L.A. I was shooting for Muscle Mag so I was in pretty good shape, but compared to how I look today...uhhh I wouldn't want to compare that scenario! (Laughs)

2NR: I see no problem with how you look right now. That's true though, you don't want to be one of those bodybuilder chicks with no chest.

CL: I think now I'm at a size where if I need to do a shoot for a fitness thing I would need two weeks in advance so I could diet my ass off and get pretty lean. If I don't need to do that then I won't, because I enjoy eating whatever I want to--screw all that other stuff. I mean, when you look at some of the other girls that are into fitness I'm like a shrimp compared to them, but they live for fitness. I enjoy working out and staying healthy, but some of these women put a lot of work and money into their bodies. That's not for me.

2NR: So since you're not a full-time fitness chick, what exactly do you do when you are not modeling?

CL: I'm still going to school.

2NR: Are you a UH Rainbow Warrior? (That's the University of Hawaii's mascot.)

CL: Yeah, I took a year off but now I'm back. It's really hard to have a school schedule and model at the same time because sometimes you might be out for a week or two. I'm still trying to finish up my AA. I would really like to do fashion design; there is a really good fashion program at UH.

Oh, and yes, I am a Rainbow Warrior fan. One thing I have always thought about doing was being a judge. I would love to be the Judge Judy type.

2NR: That chick is a biatch!

CL: I love her! I would just love to yell at people all day long! I would lay down the law. If you are a loser I will tell you! I love how she controls the courtroom. Like I said, it would be cool to do that, but I'm looking more towards the fashion scene.

2NR: I'm sure if you were a judge people would love to get in trouble just to go to you. So I heard you are somewhat of an animal lover?

CL: Well, I'm not a hardcore animal lover, but I have two dogs and a cat.

2NR: OK, I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask if your dogs have the weird Hawaiian names that are hard to pronounce?

CL: Oh yeah, their names make a lot of sense though. I have a pug and a miniature pinscher. The pinscher's name is Kama Kana, which means "the gift" or "a gift of love from my sweetheart." My pug's name is Maka Lea, which simply means "funny face." I originally wanted the big Doberman pinscher, but I ended up getting the small one. These little dogs are a big pain in the ass! For some reason little dogs have a Napoleon complex. My dogs think they rule the world. They are a lot cleaner than the bigger dogs though.

2NR: What's the deal with the pug? Those dogs breathe too loud.

CL: Oh yeah, I know they breathe loud, but he has this ugly/cute thing about him. He has a face only a mother could love. I won't be the first to admit this, but they could also quite possibly be the dumbest dogs on the planet. The funny thing is I got the pinscher first and I wanted him to have a playmate so I chose a pug. I didn't want the same kind of dog, really high-strung and hyper, so I got sold on the pug.

2NR: Man those dogs are ugly! So since your pinscher is named "the gift," I assume you have a boyfriend.

CL: No, it was a gift given to me a long time ago.

2NR: Single then, all right! Since most of our Hawaiian Tuner girls have been in Playboy I assume you have too?

CL: Yes.

2NR: I don't know what it is about Hawaiian chicks, but they always seem so laid back. Plus they have all done Playboy, which means we get to see them naked in other magazines. So which Playboy did you do?

CL: I've done the Playmate edition in 2000, College Girls 2000, the 2001 calender, 2001 Grapevine and Playboy's Sexy Celebrities 2001.

2NR: Wow! I guess you've had your fair share of Playboys. I've never heard of Sexy Celebrities though. What's that?

CL: Well, it was when I was doing "Baywatch" so for some reason or another they figured I was a celebrity. I did work on "Baywatch" so I was like, "If you want to promote me as an actress then that's all good with me." They gave me a full spread and everything, so I can't complain!

2NR: So what did you do on "Baywatch"?

CL: I was a lifeguard trainee. The way the script ran, they were looking for a lifeguard trainee at a lifeguard training center. It was a role where I didn't speak very much but I always had to be there.

2NR: Well better to have done it a little than not at all. Now we move on to the dirt. Real or fake?

CL: Oh my, fake of course! What Asian do you know that has boobs this size that are real?

2NR: That's true, but I had to ask. Not like that's a bad thing! They look nice to me!

CL: (Laughs) Well, they better! I paid a lot for these things.

2NR: They are worth every penny. Top or bottom?

CL: I like a little of both. Sometimes I like to be dominated and sometimes I like to dominate.

2NR: Strange, I would have guessed the top because you are a big Judge Judy fan. Last question. What does it take to get in your pants?

CL: Oh shit! Just be real and don't try to be someone you're not. Perfect example, just the other day this guy introduced himself to me. And he said his name was Escalade! Come on now! Do you really think this guys name was Escalade? You know he was fucking lying! The only Escalade I know of is the Caddy version. I ended up just laughing and walking away.

2NR: Speaking of walking away, I understand you are short on time so we'll go ahead and end the interview here.

CL: Actually yeah, I'm late for another shoot. It was fun though, thanks.
