2nr: We haven't been able to get in contact so easily. I understand that there's a feature film in the works.April Scott: I'm shooting "The Dukes of Hazzard 2." I'm playing Daisy Duke. When you left me a message last week, I was on the set. I have a day off today so now we can talk.
2nr: Jessica Simpson played her last time. Looks like you're following some good boots.AS: It's cool because I'm a brunette and they want to go back to the original character.
2nr: So it's not at all that you have this southern drawl? This must be a great kick off for your movie career.AS: Yes, definitely. I went to college for theatre and acting, so this is something that I've always wanted and planned for...and what I came out here to do.
2nr: So how did you come across modeling?AS: Modeling came by chance.
2nr: It would have been cooler if you said, "I'm obviously fine as hell, so why wouldn't I do that?"AS: No, I don't think so. I was just approached by an agent when I first moved here and it kinda just took off.
2nr: And now, many television shows later, you score the first of many big ones. Name some of the things you've done.AS: The Shield, CSI: Miami, Entourage, Ripley's Believe it or not, The Late Late Show and A Motley Crue video.
2nr: These are big things for a girl that grew up on a farm.AS: Yeah. I was raised on a 20-acre farm. My parents had cows and we grew strawberries...it probably sounds boring to you.
2nr: Actually, no. My grandparents own a coffee plantation in the Philippines. They grow pineapples, coconuts, bananas... you know...the "tropical stuff."AS: Wow. I want to go to a place like that. Would you go back there?
2nr: I take that as an invitation. So yes, I'd go back anytime you ask to go.2nr: We all know you got paid! What did you buy?AS: I've been so busy that I never got a chance to go shopping. What I'm going to do is, after filming, I'm going to Europe for a 3-week vacation.
