What you needed was someone to cover for you, which is a perfect segue way on what you thought of the cover car?
I like how they put an RX-8 front-end conversion on an RX-7. It is definitely not something you see every day.
Let's get into the last time you did something: The last great date you went on?
I went kayaking in La Jolla, Calif. It was amazing because it was something I've never done, but always wanted to do. We took a tour of the Seven Caves of La Jolla. We even saw sharks. It was so much fun.
What about the last time you went on a horrible date?
Two years ago in Mammoth Mountain when the idiot I was there with locked his keys in the car. It was night time and it must've been like seven degrees below zero.
The last time you heard a really, really bad pick up line?
Yesterday, from my restaurant manager.
No, not at all. We all have Mary J Castillo to thank. Do you guys still talk?
I talk to her all the time. We have become very close friends throughout the last four years and I am very thankful for her.
Working for Falken, have you learned a lot about tires?
As a matter of fact, I have. I mean I'm not a pro yet, but I'm working on it. I've learned a lot about drifting, as well, something I never understood until now.
A tire-related fact that you can impart on our readers?
I know that good drift tires have to be broken in before they approach the track. That's why the drivers burnout before the starting line.
How about drifting?
Besides what I just told you, I know that the drivers get judged on three things: speed, angle, and showmanship.
So do you have a favorite drifter?
Favorite drifter? What about favorite drift team? Team Falken!
Cough, shameless plug, cough! But, do you have a favorite one?
I honestly don't have a favorite-yet. But as the year progresses maybe I will.
Now that you've been to both drift events and car shows, which kind of car do you prefer?
Drift cars hands down. Yes, show cars look good, but you get this unexplainable adrenaline rush in a drift car.
When you're not working the car scene, what do you like to do?
I love shopping, watching movies, and eating Pinkberry.
Me too! I lie. I hate Pinkberry. It tastes like rotten, sour ice cream disguised with fruit. Speaking of lies, the worst lie you've ever told?
I told my mom I was flying to Colorado with my girlfriend to visit my cousin, but I was actually driving up with a guy. That lie didn't get me too far because she ended up finding out before I even got there.
