Interview By Carter JungBlondes, as they say, have more fun. Why? I have absolutely no idea. Is it in the pigment, or lack thereof, in the hair follicles? Does the skull absorb less heat from the sun, thereby enhancing the fun factor lobe in the brain? Who knows. Besides, I know plenty of brunettes who can wild out like the best of 'em... and, if I do say so myself, as a black-haired Asian, I have a pretty damn good time sans any golden locks. But, never having dated a blonde, let alone interviewed one, I never had the opportunity to observe - first hand -- how much more fun a blonde could really have.
Born in the city of Avalon on Catalina Island - a spec of continental dust off the coast of Los Angeles - Candace Pittman is the quintessential California girl. What with her blonde hair, smoking hot looks, banging body, and bubbly personality, she could easily pass for an extra off a David Lee Roth music video; or for our younger readers, a Lil Wayne joint. And don't be surprised if she does, with roles stacking up Hollywood, the only thing holding back this blonde is her own ambition.
So you're part Cherokee and Blackfoot Native American?
Yeah, but I came out looking like a full on white girl!
You're the first dual-Native American I've met.
Really?
Yep.
Well, glad I could be your first! [Laughs]
You popped my dual-Native American cherry-a special moment.
Hope I wasn't too rough!
Actually, I think I might be a little sore tomorrow.
Ewww! [Laughs]
So how does a hot blonde like yourself end up hanging out with import models?
Honestly? I'm addicted to fast cars! That, and import models rock!
Agreed. What kind of fast cars?
Anything but American.
Counter intuitive...interesting. Why not anything American?
I just don't feel American cars are made as well as, lets say, Japanese cars. Also, American companies pride themselves on being "All-American" when then the truth is most of their parts comes from all over the place like Mexico and Canada. Yes, they have muscle but it doesn't last.
Back in the day I owned an American car - a Jeep - literally a month after the warranty was done it fell apart.
See what I mean! Ford is even worse! Now, a Toyota...that will last you forever!
I also co-owned an AE86...thing had over 280k miles and it ran perfect! What do you own currently?
I have a hot lil' Scion tC. I love it! It's so sporty and handles really well. It's perfect! Might I add, it's a stick shift?
Is it modified?
Not too much yet -- just the interior.
What have you done to the interior?
They had options on how you want the shift knob, steering, and pedals to look. I made it sporty! Just the way I like it!
There's this other 2NR model - Alicia Whitten - she has a tC that we're supposed to fix up. We should do a model build-off challenge!
I agree! We totally should! Are the modifications free? [Laughs]
*Cough* Could be *cough*
[Laughs] Yay!
So, going back to the import model thing, Sasha Singleton introduced us. How do you know her?
I met Sasha through a Hello Dram fashion show that my girlfriend Kaila was having. We clicked and now everything is history... she's awesome! It's like we were separated at birth.
Kaila... Kaila Yu?
That's the one.
They were both on 2NR..
I know, now it's my turn!
The blondes are taking over!
True... it's time for a come back!
So you're sort of new to the scene, have you been to any events: car shows, drift events, drag?
Not yet, I have been to car shows a while ago, but nothing recent. It's hard. The last time I went, I wanted to take everything home.
Do you remember what show?
No, I don't.
Time for a field trip!
That's for sure.
