12 Girls in Two Days...
While I'd like to say that my pimp hand is that strong, it has nothing to do with my game. Rather, the grueling schedule of having to cram a year's worth of months in models, in a two-day photoshoot. An arduous task that took the likes of a production manager, hair stylist, makeup artist, wardrobe stylist, sales rep, photographer, two photography assistants, and the 12 aforementioned girls cranking non-stop in the studio. And all I had to do was sit around and check for overly exposed flesh. Ah, the toils of being an editor.

But it wasn't all fun and games. I had to find the 12 models, and that meant having to look at, scrutinize and sort through 50-plus girls from various agencies. Factor in the three to four portfolio shots per candidate and that's hours spent poring over scantily-clad pics. If that wasn't bad enough, not only did I pick up and transport two rolls of Seibon carbon fiber to custom-make accessories, I had to sit in the fitting room with barely clothed models and attempt to help the wardrobe stylist come up with ideas. The horror! But hey, I'm a team player. Everyone has their role to play and we all have to pull our own weight. I mean, someone had to order lunch.

Sarcasm aside, I hope you enjoy the calendar as much as we had fun making it. While the outlook for 2010 is still a bit bleak, at least you have 12 hotties to look forward to. Dedicated subscribers wondering where your sexiness went, unfortunately, only newsstand copies come bundled with it. When I asked the suits why, their response was because subscribers pay a discounted rate, they forgo any newsstand promotions. Meaning: if you want the calendar, you'll have to go out and buy one. Our company's methodology for rewarding customer loyalty is a bit avant-garde, I know. But if you do decide to drive out in the cold, I guarantee the cash spent will solidly beat any kitty calendar any day. Besides, Lolcats are so 2009 (at least I hope).

Much thanks goes out to Seibon. Not only do they make solid carbon and dry carbon products for your ride, Seibon sponsored the 2010 calendar, earning them this shameless plug. Shawn, Michael and Mikey, muchos gracias.

Finishing all of my cars. Yep, all of them. Likelihood? As slim as one of Alicia Whitten's arms.

i won't hold my breath when i say all my project cars will be up and running by early 2010. And when I say "running", that doesn't mean simply starting up in my garage, hoisted on a pair of jackstands.

To remain financially solvent in the eventual economic apocalypse. Or to be more optimistic. Whichever comes first.

To invent a single social online network that renders facebook, twitter, myspace, behance, flickr, and every other website i'm a member of obsolete. Then i might have my normal life back.
