Well, here we are; four Import Tuner Model Search shows complete and two left to go. If it wasn't for our sponsors, Import Adrenelin and Konig Wheels, the model search just wouldn't have been the same. Time flies when you're having fun! We want to know who in the hell is going to be our next cover model. Do you guys have it figured out yet? You better not screw it up. The Import Tuner reputation for the best cover girls is in your hands.
When we initially decided to have this model search, we never figured that being out of the decision making process would be so tough. It's a control thing. The funny thing is that the models are not entirely aware of the fact that the readers are making the final decision, so they proceed to grovel and beg for us to put them on the cover. Of course, being the honest gentlemen we are, we have to explain that we're not making the decision this time. "It's our loyal readers, so go beg them to put you on the cover," we tell them. Then we tell the models not to talk to our readers, but to scream at them with their best, most provocative poses that says, "Vote for me." Those girls that were good students and followed our advice have moved on to the next stage. Our Chicago graduating beauties are two of the hottest young ladies yet. Both Sharon Pascua and McKenzie Closen have said they would love to personally thank each and everyone one of you. Yeah, right! Dream on! Now that they have moved to the next level of our search, what do they think? Are their lives going to be forever changed? What the hell, let's ask Sharon and see what she thinks.
IT: Congrats. You are now moving on to the finals and will be competing with eleven other hotties for the cover spot. If you win, what do you think it will do for your modeling career?SP: To win and become a cover model on Import Tuner will be a huge accomplishment for me at this stage of my career. I would consider it a solid foundation for my career. I love the import industry and have been dying to break into it. I've seen what Import Tuner has done for some of the former cover models and their careers appear to have improved exponentially. I expect it to carry me straight to the top.
IT: The pressure's on! How long have you been modeling?SP: I've only been modeling for a little over a year. I was originally approached by Coors. They basically pulled out of a crowd. I've been working with them ever since and have had a great time. I've also worked with some other companies here and there, but I'm always seeking other avenues to grow my career.
IT: Sounds like a Pamela Anderson type of story. Lets hope yours turns out better. Stay away from Bay Watch! What comes first, your modeling career or education?SP: It's without a doubt school. You have to have brains before beauty. Besides, I think a career in occupational therapy will outlast a modeling career.
IT: Good advice. Pierce Brosnan or Sean Connery?SP: Sean Connery for sure. He's the original James Bond. Besides, he's sexy and more distinguished.
IT: Don't forget old! Size or stamina?SP: Both. How can you have one without the other? Must have both!
IT: Public display of affection?SP: It's OK, but keep it within reason. Use your imagination.
IT: Sports fan?SP: Big time baseball and basketball. I love Derek Jeter and the Yankees, and of course, the St. Louis Cardinals. I must also admit I love the Lakers. Go Kobe!
IT: Jumping on that bandwagon are we? Figures. Where should we expect to see more of you?SP: Hopefully you'll see me at more import shows. I've been getting some work from Hyundai, and hopefully that will lead to other work in the industry. But rest assured, you will see more of me. I promise!
Unfortunately, McKenzie wasn't available at press time to be interviewed, but you can be sure that we'll get to her later. In the meantime, look for our Los Angeles finalists to be coming out in the next issue as we close in on the next import sex symbol to appear on the cover of Import Tuner. Be sure to vote, if you haven't already, at www.importtuner.com. We're counting on you. If you mess this up, we're not going to give you another chance.
