Chyen Huang and Vanessa Graw, Los Angeles Finals - Import Tuner Model Search

Vanessa Graw
IT: Miss Vanessa, Halloween is upon us and your costume is absolutely...ahh, nice, but what are you?
VM: Well, I wanted to be different and original without being too crazy, so I decided to be a bat. I think it's pretty pimp.

IT: A bat! I especially like the tiny little black shorts and tight little top. Oh yeah, the wings are nice, too. Sorry, lost my train of thought. Let's try to get back on track here. You live down in San Diego with all the other hot beach babes. What do you do differently from everyone else when you're not modeling?
VM: I'm a quality inspector for aviation parts. I inspect parts assembled on F-22s and Comanche helicopters. I can assure you it's not something I hope to do for the rest of my life.

IT: A quality inspector for some of this country's most sophisticated military aviation equipment. How in the world did you end up with that gig? That seems like something someone much older and less attractive would be doing.
VM: How much time do we have? The whole story is too long and boring, so here's the short version. A woman I used to work with asked me to help fill a position. At first I thought she was out of her mind. When she told me about the job I was sure it would require some experience. But I ended up getting it, no experience or anything. They ended up training me on the job. She essentially had to pull a lot of strings, but it's very interesting and would be a great career for someone who wanted to pursue a career in electronics, but it's not quite my dream job.

IT: I've heard of this scenario before. It's kind of like being at the right place at the right time, or something like that. Anyway, you've just won the Los Angeles Model Search, which makes you eligible for the final round of twelve. What do you think about the possibility of becoming the next cover model for Import Tuner?
VM: To be honest, I didn't think I had much of a chance. Modeling is something I would like to pursue, but with my full-time job and all the competition, it's hard to find enough time to attack it full force. If I were to become the cover model, I would hope it would help my modeling gain some momentum.

IT: Some might say being on the cover of Import Tuner has made their career! That's what I've heard anyway. So, if you were out looking for a man, what would you be looking for? Maybe someone who is clean cut with a heart of gold and a push over for a beautiful girl.
VM: Quite the opposite, actually. The first thing that draws my attention is of course physical. I like the bad-boy image on the outside, but sweet and confident on the inside. I have to admit that I love a guy with piercings. I especially like the way a guy looks with a piercing in his chin. It's so sexy.

IT: I guess it's safe to say I don't have a chance! What about you? Any piercings?
VM: I have three and not including my ears.

IT: Ooooh! Is that so? Do I dare ask where the others might be?
VW: Well, I have one on my tongue, another on my belly button, and the third is what's called a labret, which, as you can see, is on my chin just below my lip.

IT: Any plans for any more piercings that our readers should know about?
VM: Not at this time, but ask me that question again at the cover model interview. Maybe I'll come up with something special just for that!

IT: Tease! Anyway, tell me this: real or fake?
VM: What do you think? Take a guess.

IT: Lets see, from this angle they look very nice, in place, I'm gonna say...real?
VM: But of course! Nothing but the real thing baby.

IT: So where should we expect to see you next?
VM: Hopefully on the big screen! I will be out at the SEMA Show with Konig. I'm so excited! I've been to SEMA before, but never worked it. I've heard mixed reviews, but it's a good opportunity to get more modeling jobs. I'll try to take an extra day to meet people.

IT: With your personality and God-given looks, you shouldn't have too much of problem finding more work. Before we go, any last words to our readers?
VM: Just thanks to everyone for taking the time to vote for me. It's amazing to think about making it this far in the Import Tuner Model Search. It's been fun and I hope to see you again on the cover. With that said, thanks for the interview. I'm out like a fat kid playing dodge ball!
