As close as it is to the production TL, this car really showcases its potential as a tuner car. Anyone want to take up Acura's challenge?
Hot Import Nights Goes Global
The same hot cars, hot girls and hot nights, British styleHot Import Nights is taking the party international with the first HIN to be produced outside of the United States. That's right, it's crawling across the ocean to invade our brothers and sisters in the UK. It will be held in London's premiere show and exhibition venue, Earl's Court. Sounds appropriately English now, doesn't it? On Saturday September 11th, 2004, be prepared for the British invasion, or as we should say, the invasion of the British.
HIN UK will include the proverbial music, excitement and style that has made HIN one of the premiere traveling car shows in the in the U.S. It hopes to attract the top show cars from England and surrounding countries and those attending will compete for top prizes and, of course, almighty bragging rights. What's more valuable that being able to mouth off to everyone you know? The show will be produced by London-based production company R-Nation in conjunction with Vision Entertainment.
Apparently our Japanese cars have been making an impression on the European folks as well as in the States. Hopefully the event can bring out the "ultimate fusion of music and automotive youth cultures" that people are looking for. At least that's the goal according to Steve Levy of R-Nation.
Bringing you booty and bitchin' cars for seven years, HIN has set the standard for car shows by featuring the hottest sport compact vehicles, girls, aftermarket stuff and teams from around the world. By providing music and fashion as well, Vision's HIN allows participants to experience the ultimate in car shows. Of course, if you've ever attended an HIN, you can sum it up with a whooping "Bad Ass!" R-Nation, Vision's limey cronie and a company with it's hands in events like Board-X and the Urban Games (as well as publishing a few nice magazines like Max Power, Fast Car and Performance VW), is a production company specializing in cutting edge music, automotive and extreme sports media, marketing and promotions. So it ought to be a bloody good time, eh? -B

2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT
The JDM version of the next-generation Subaru Legacy is already on sale, so its appearance in American-spec form at the Detroit Auto Show was no big whoop. But what's pegging the whoop meter is news that we'll also get a new 2.5 GT sedan (and wagon) powered by a turbocharged and intercooled version of Subie's 2.5-liter flat-four engine. It's not quite an Americanized B4, but it's closer than we've ever been offered before.
Like all Subies, the new Legacy gets all-wheel drive standard. It rides on a 105.1-inch wheelbase (up from 104.3 inches on the 2003 Legacy) and gets all-new sheetmetal that, Subaru says, carries a miniscule 0.28 coefficient of drag in sedan form and just 0.30 Cd as a wagon.
The new Legacy models, including the 2.5 GT, will be at dealers this spring.
