Here Comes The Bandwagon

Now that the drag racing community will probably never talk to me again, I want to say in my defense that I've gotten to know a lot of people through drag racing. It does have its own community, which requires being part of the drag scene in order to be accepted. You might not believe it, but drifting has its own culture and community as well, and to get into it you have to accept the people and cars involved. You can't try to prove you're better than those already in the sport and expect the drivers to embrace you. Because you're a famous drag racer doesn't mean you can drift like a pro. At last, I'll end it at this: Try the sport before you say you will dominate it. Have fun with it before you look at competing with a sponsorship in it. Last, but not least, you may be considered great in your sport right now, but that's because you built a name for yourself over time. Do the drifting community a favor and start from scratch rather than trying to use your drag status to push you to the top. You gotta learn to crawl before you can walk, and driving 160 mph straight is a walk in the park compared to driving 90mph sideways toward a wall.
