Tricks Of The Trade
A simple disconnection of you car's negative battery terminal for 30 seconds or more can help gain some major horsepower and torque, without making any further modifications to your engine. What sounds too good to be true is in fact supported by 2NR's dyno testing on an '08 Subaru STI. Using nothing more than a 10mm wrench and stopwatch, resetting the ECU gained us an additional 32.3 hp and 26.9 lb-ft. torque at 6,295 rpm. Boost came on quicker, yet maintained the same PSI level. We won't guarantee this will work for every vehicle, but it's worth a try if you're looking for an easy way to make horsepower. Just don't forget to keep your stereo lock code handy...
Free Parts, $10,000 And A Trip To Cali?!
In case that pesky neighborhood Chihuahua jacked the mailman and burrito'd down your May issue of 2NR before you could read 411, we'd like to take a moment to remind you of the Castrol Syntec Top Car Challenge, and why it could net you a cool $10,000 in cash. Remember Castrol Syntec's Top Shop Challenge that our 867-hp monster SR20DET nearly owned? Yea, well we're looking to bring it twice as hard this time around, by tuning and reppin' the hardest Import--scratch that--car to ever roll the streets... Your submissions have been considered and we've picked one to-be-named ride capable of breaking off big-power domestics on the quarter-mile, lapping high-dollar Euros around the circuit, and out-gunning all the other Imports we'll be up against. Log onto www.SyntecTopCarChallenge.com and vote for our ride to win--because when we do, one lucky voter will be given $10K, to bask in the cash-showered glory we will attain! Check the site for details and instructions:

Free Loot From South Central
A few months back, 2NR and Midnight Club: Los Angeles collab'ed and gave away a pair of ultra limited edition MC:LA Jordan kicks on importtuner.com. If you slept on that opportunity, don't worry--here's your second chance at scoring some cool swag.
If you've played Midnight Club: Los Angeles on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, you might have noticed some of the less scintillating, but much more exciting geographic locales were left out of the game--namely the hood. Well, as it turns out, they didn't forget. Rockstar was waiting to release it as downloadable content in the--wait for oxymoron of the year--South Central Upgrade. An upgrade that adds 1/3 to your map size and, very much like a carjacking, is completely free.
And in the spirit of coming up with loot, Rockstar Games and Import Tuner are bringing you the chance to win one of five exclusive MC:LA gift packages which contains:
Midnight Club: Los Angeles video game (Xbox 360 or PlayStation3)
Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central downloadable content
And a Midnight Club-branded Sidekick
To enter, simply send an email with your favorite West Coast rapper (hint: not Biggie) and console choice (PS3 or Xbox 360) to postal@importtuner.com with MC:LA in the subject line. Afterwards, check out the free South Central upgrade, or if you have 10 bucks to spare, the South Central Premium Upgrade that features nine unique new vehicles, 26 amazing new races and more. Download the South Central content on Xbox LIVE or on the PlayStation Network.
