The Car: 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer
Owner: Import Tuner
Test 01-Baseline
With 60 miles on the odometer, the Lancer spun the wheels of Buschur's Dynojet to the tune of 103.6 hp and 116.6 lb-ft of torque. With the factory ratings at 120 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque, this was exactly what we expected to see out of the car.
Test 02-Intake
The addition of the intake system brought up the power in the extreme low- and mid- to high-rpm ranges, especially from 4100 rpm up to redline. The power drop-off right before redline was lessened, as well, meaning that more power was available for a longer duration of time.

Test 02-Exhaust
Buschur's stainless-steel exhaust added an additional 2.1 ponies to the Lancer mix. The torque was not far behind, showing a 2.2 lb-ft increase at the peak point and significant gains in the upper regions of the powerband.
Test 03-Downpipe
Bolting on the Buschur Racing Offroad/Downpipe configuration netted an additional 3.5 hp, showing that there is a lot of restriction in the factory exhaust flow configuration. By adding the test pipe, extra power was released and brought the peak output up to 111.9 hp with 121.6 lb-ft of torque for backup.
