Conclusion
It's pretty obvious that tuning is everything on the Evo right from the get-go. Considering we jumped straight into the tuning for our first part shows that the factory tuning is done very conservatively. By looking at our extra graph you can see that after all the tuning was done we made 267.5 horsepower over the baseline figure of 230.0. Out of curiosity we decided to plug that factory ECU to see how much power the car will make over stock but the end result was 216 horsepower. We believe that the air intake is the deciding factor due to the reaction of signal produced by the mass air sensor. End result...tuning is everything on the Evo.
