PowerPages: Honda B16 Engine
Dyno 3: Skunk2 Pro 2+ Camshafts
Pros
After we installed Skunk2's newest Pro 2+ camshafts, the engine awoke from its slumber and belched out an amazing and consistent 32-hp gain over the factory B16 camshafts from 7500 to 7700 rpm. Throughout the power band we saw typical gains of 15 to 30 hp. We also saw peak torque gains of 11 lb-ft over stock, topping at 178 ft-lb.
Cons
The engine labored to hit the 8000-rpm red line, because the factory cylinder head limited the engine's power potential.
