Pros
We took one of Hondas most popular vehicles of present, the 2005 2.2-liter S2000 with assurance the vehicle would produce exceptional horsepower with additional add-on components. Owning a factory rated 240hp and 162 lb-ft of torque (crank rated) rocket ship would be enough to keep even the most horsepower hungry individual content, but not for this silver bullets owner. Looking for additional ponies, he willingly donated the car with high expectation of us returning the car with a new demeanor.
Cons
The F22C 2.2-liter engine falls short on rev's in comparison to its younger brother, the free revving, 9000 rpm F20C due to its larger displacement and engine stroke. On the positive side, torque numbers have risen ever so slightly. Besides having a shitty blind-sided rearview window, there's not much to complain about the S2K.
Notes
Anyone who lives in Riverside knows the potential heat blasts that occur during the summer months. Luckily, during our dyno testing at K&N headquarters, the weather remained pleasant as overcast prevented temperatures from soaring and kept our dyno runs consistent.

Pros
One look at the factory intake system and its evident the restriction this bulky unit causes. We opted to use the Typhoon cold air intake system in wrinkle red finish. The install was a straightforward job and required minimal mechanical skills. Pay special attention to where each vacuum line is attached before ripping the filtration system apart. The K&N unit is a 50-state legal unit, complete with CARB EO numbers and backed by their million-mile warranty.
Cons
Extending the valve cover breather and EGR vacuum lines to accommodate the new intake wasn't enough to ensure that the lines cleared the alternator and power steering pulley. We literally had to bend the metal lines and zip-tied the vacuum lines for proper clearance.
Notes
Using a pair of sheers or a dremel, carefully cut the factory inner fender lining to gain access for the cold air intake and filter. K&N supplies the necessary template and detailed directions to ensure you don't create a hole that's too big.
