Pros
If you have a vehicle that produces a lot of exhaust gases, the Blitz Nur-spec unit is for you. Measuring a full 80mm (over three inches), the Nur-spec unit features polished stainless-steel piping and thick cast flanges for durability. The system also comes with a silencer for enthusiasts with sensitive ears, which surprisingly works extremely well. For fun, we tested the Nur-spec system with and without the silencer and were surprised with the results. The Blitz system made exactly the same power with the silencer in place. On top of that, the sound decibels were much lower with the silencer in place.
Cons
The polished canister is extremely shiny and to some it might look cool, but to others, it can be another item on your vehicle that the police officers and easily distinguish.
Notes
The factory catalytic retains a lot of heat and can easily burn your fingers within a few seconds. So stay clear of it. Again, use a penetrating lubricant to help ease the removal of the nuts and bolts.

Pros
We have tried Unorthodox Racing lightened pulleys on several different platforms, and each and every time we have tested it with great results. And this time was no exception. The lightweight underdrive pulley requires shorter drive belts so a trip to the local parts store is necessary. The UR pulley weighs five pounds less than the stock cast steel piece and comes in shiny billet aluminum.
Cons
Removing the front pulley bolt will require some effort and will require help from a friend. The install is time consuming considering it is only a front pulley but removing all the accessory belts connected to it will take you a while.
Conclusion
The KA24DE has gotten a bad rap and many have called it a "truck engine because a similar powerplant was used in the Nissan Hardbody trucks. But with a well thought out battle plan, the KA can be an extremely potent powerplant. Add a turbo kit and you can easily blow by almost anything on the streets. There have been some examples generating nearly 600 horsepower to the wheels. Yes it was a KA engine and not an SR.
