Pros
The DME header's runners are equal length, fatter and straighter than the factory unit's, and collect at less of an angle. All this leads to an increase in flow that brought more power across the entire powerband, especially noticeable at top end. And while you have to strain to see it in the back of the engine bay, the header's full stainless construction looks way better than the Oe aluminized heat shield covering the puny stock manifold. Fitment was perfect, and the installation took minutes once the engine had time to cool.
Cons
Like the lower exhaust system, the xB's catalytic converter placement also negatively effects header design. The section of piping that the cats are welded into also serves as the B-pipe-an area that, if it could legally be replaced, would allow for a 4-2-1 header design, instead of requiring all aftermarket headers to call it quits after their runners.

Notes
The header is held in place at seven points: Five nuts hold the unit to the head's studs, and two spring bolts attach it to the remainder of the exhaust. with the exception of the top row of studs on the head, all fasteners can be reached from underneath the car-this is the easiest way to go. the Dme header includes a composite gasket where the unit attaches to the head, but if the factory metal unit is in good shape, we recommend sticking with it instead.
