2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
Owner: Greg Garcia
Dynamometer model: XS Engineering DynoJet 248E

Dyno 1 Baseline
Air Temp @ 67.5 Degrees Fahrenheit

Baseline Horsepower: 147.0 Baseline Torque: 156.9 lb-ft

Pros
Considering that the stock engine puts out 175 hp at the flywheel, we thought the loss to the wheels was either really extreme or the car had problems to begin with. After checking on a few other Spec Vs that were in the dyno computer, we found ours was average versus other cars. The great thing about this four cylinder is it puts out more torque than horsepower. Driving the car in stock condition proved it makes a ton of torque, and that it's a good thing the car comes with a six-speed transmission.

Cons
High torque is good, but having the redline at 6200 rpm really sucks for a front-drive vehicle. Once this car starts to make more power, wheel spin will definitely be a problem. Then again that might be a fun thing.
