Dyno 1 Baseline
Air temp @ 70 degrees Fahrenheit
| PEAK HP | 169.3 |
| PEAK TQ | 121.8 |
Dyno Notes
The RSX is equipped with a complete JDM Type R suspension and brakes. This also includes the 17-in. white Type R wheels. Although the wheels are slightly larger than the factory 16-in. wheels, we doubt it affected the overall baseline figures dramatically.

Pros
The factory RSX Type-S is rated at 200 hp at the flywheel, but on the Dynojet dyno, which measures horsepower at the drive wheels, the K20A engine registered 169.3 hp. That's about a 15-percent lost through the Acura's drivetrain, which is quite a bit for a front-wheel-drive vehicle, but is still within the norm.
Cons
Power delivery from the K20A is pretty lackluster until the VTEC kicks in. Even in stock trim from 6000 rpm on the engine quickly reaches redline. Examining the dyno graphs shows the K20A reaches peak power at about 7400 rpm, and from then on power quickly drops off. What also surprised us from viewing the dyno graphs is peak torque is not realized until 7000 rpm!

| Peak Horsepower: 178.1 | Peak Torque: 127.5 lb-ft |
Part Includes
Powdercoated mild-steel intake tube, high-flow GCA air filter, red silicone hoses, four hose clamps and True Flow stickers.
Pros
Installing the True Flow intake was a breeze and can be performed by anyone who can change an air filter. Since the GCA system only replaces the factory rubber intake boot and filter element, installation time is dramatically reduced.
Cons
The GCA system isn't a very showy piece, but it is a pure performance product. There's no chrome "bling bling" here, just more power.
Tools Required For Installation
Standard screwdriver, 8mm socket and needle-nose pliers

Ceramic-coated 4-1 header.
Pros
The DC header is a very nice piece and comes with all the necessary hardware for the installation. By looking at the unit you can tell the R&D department at DC spent countless hours on the collector portion.
