While this CD will be over a year old by the time you read this review, the producer of hybrid rock group Prodigy, Liam Howlett, has created a mixdisc that will keep heads spinning for years. An unorthodox combination of artists (The Sex Pistols and Frankie Bones to the Beastie Boys and LLCoolJ to Barry White and Ultramagnetic Mc's) will no doubt confuse the eyes but the ears will suggest a respect for the man's comprehension of classic hip hop and Skratch Pikl influenced turntablism. Ordinarily, turntablist mixtapes realize a long shelf-life and Dirtchamber Sessions' extraordinary style is sure to surpass the norm-subliminally, its longevity may be similar to that of the classic pairing of Run DMC and Aerosmith. Howlett has planted new seeds; sit back and watch that shit grow.
