Original Future Tracks

Original Future Track is a collection of crate-dug, old-school funk and soul tracks--stuff from which you new booties should grab a little inspiration. What's impressive isn't the fact that Ken Sport has mixed the tracks well, rather, he found a way to let you appreciate it with genuine emotion. Of its 53 tracks the longest hits you for about 2 1/2 minutes...the shortest is 19 seconds...average is about a minute-and-a-half--truly a funk and soul samplers dream where the music hovers around long enough for you to "get it" but short enough for your attention span. You'd think with so many pieces the album would sound a little disassembled, but fact is the cuts go so well together that you'd think they were one long song. You could believe, through all the emotion evoking, that it's an hour-long audible stage play. Not only would Original Future Tracks make a great musical addendum to any late '60s or early '70s blacksploitaion or porn flick it would make great background "chillin" music. stapledesign.com
