Finally, the last thing that truly kicks ass about SRS is it's an involved and in-depth game. The producers considered every aspect of the game. It even forces the AI not to cheat, unlike most other games. This means every race is a race of skill. The computer will make mistakes-randomly. When you race for pink slips on Xbox Live or via other network connections and lose, your car is gone for good. The clown who beat you can rub your face in it every time you go online. Also, damage costs you money. Of course, if you're racing someone and you know it's a lost cause, go for broke and smash the hell out of it.
What more can I say? You'd be a chump to not get this game. Why the hell are you still reading this? Shouldn't you be getting SRS right about now? If you still have your doubts, just think of the girlies. Almost all of them have appeared on the cover of 2NR and now they're in live-motion 3D.

Yes, it's finally out. And it's as good as expected, if not a bit better. After years of development, rumor, and (no-so-patiently) waiting, Doom 3 is in our grubby hands. Overall, Doom 3 does a great job of not only sucking you into the game, but also making it eerily atmospheric as well.
Imagine taking the suspense and action elements of the movies Alien and Aliens, then combining them with a balls-out shooter, and you get a spectacular game that draws you in from the opening scene and then beats the living hell out of your senses until you finish it.
Unless you've been living under a friggin' rock, you already know Doom has always and will always be about the legions of hell breaking free and wreaking havoc on Mars. Seems a bit cheesy, but it's as good a storyline as any other. If you already knew this, the beginning of the game won't surprise you too much and you'll have half a clue as to what's going on.
Thankfully, Doom 3 keeps to its roots and doesn't rely on a plot-heavy storyline to move things along. It is an unapologetic shooter that maintains the formula set forth by its predecessors: you aim, shoot, and-if the damn thing's not dead-you shoot it until it is.
Graphically, Doom 3 is gorgeous. The textures are well rendered and the overall mood of a bleak, desolate, and hellish environment have been thoroughly conceived and laid out with such attention to detail that even obsessive-compulsives would be hard-pressed to find flaws. For the game to look its absolute best, you need some hardcore graphics hardware and a damn-good rig. If you're lacking in some respects, the game will forgive and adapt to your puny machine (as long as it has a P4 1.5GHz or better).
The game's atmosphere is created by means of a tense and eerie soundtrack. The ambient noises, conversation, music, and even voice acting are top notch. Doom 3 is one of the most artistically involved games on the market. The controls are simple to assume and easy to master. The game's interface is well conceived and does not detract from the overall experience.
Truthfully, I had a difficult time finding fault with Doom 3. It is exactly what I expected it to be. Hardcore shooters and PC geeks everywhere must have this game. Even if you're not a shooter, I am sure you will find something to like about Doom 3. So, if you've got the hardware, you should definitely give Doom 3 a try. If not, give your machine an overhaul and get this damn game. I need some more noobs to frag.
