Out Run 2

Arcade racers have their place in our hearts. A special little place where the rules of physics mean little or nothing, balls-out driving is the prerequisite to winning and flagrant disregard for others gives you the edge. Add a healthy lineup of Ferraris to the mix and you've got a winning combination.

If you played the original OutRun, then getting OutRun2 is a no-brainer. You learn to drive like an ass, whip around race courses like a moron and get beaten by your woman like a schmoe. That entertaining aspect is really a nice touch and a great way to get feedback on how mad your driving skills are.

As you progress, more Ferraris open up and enhance the insanity. One other fun feature is its pedal-to-the-floor action that begins at the starting line, throws traffic at you to make your life hell and gives you the overall feeling of being in a cannon ball run.

If you love racers, want a game with plenty of Ferraris in it or just want a really fun arcade racer, then OutRun2 is for you. The only real drawback is it feels somewhat limited when compared to Project Gotham Racing 2 and Burnout 3. However, you do get some good Xbox Live action out of it. Overall, it's a very solid and worthwhile title for any Xbox owner.
