Kratos goes portable as God of War: Chains of Olympus comes to the PSP. The game is completely original and developed specifically for the PSP so gamers aren't getting just a part of the PS2 titles already released. Chains of Olympus takes place before the events of the first God of War, and players travel back to the time when Kratos' was just a mere slave to the Gods of Olympus. But something has happened and the world has been plunged into eternal darkness, the Gods have lost their powers and now Kratos must decide: Does he go for his own personal redemption or does he save the world before it perishes completely? Another epic adventure awaits as Kratos' fate takes him to the dark worlds of Greek Mythology where he faces all new creatures, takes on new puzzles to solve and must battle his way through bosses and armies to make it through to the end.

Nothing has been skipped for the PSP edition and the amazing looking environments and the intense action of the game play translates well to the smaller screen. While playing Chains of Olympus there's never a feeling that the game is just a watered down version of the original titles. The game play action is just as deep and exciting as the "big screen" versions, so it's best to be prepared for another action-packed adventure. Kratos gets great new combat moves that gamers can use along with favorite attack combos from the original console games to bring new levels of pain to enemies and bosses. The controls have been adjusted for the PSP, but the basic set-up is the same, so there is no new learning curve here either. Another great soundtrack accompanies the game to give gamers that epic feeling as Kratos takes on one challenge after another. God of War: Chains of Olympus is a great game for the PSP and gamers will not be short changed on this title just because it's portable.
