G011 Series WatchSo the IRS finally caught up to me for not paying my taxes a couple years ago, thus spending half my paychecks on stupid Italian jeans, Japanese kicks and European watches is not going to happen. So while I fund half of the war effort in hefty monthly payments, I'll be rocking Levi's, Nikes and Casios. Luckily, the new G-Shocks are a bit fancier than the previous generations, so I can still floss a bit when I interview for a second job stocking shelves at the supermarket.
JVC LT-42x898 LCD TelevisionThe new JVC LCD televisions now have twice the refresh rate of normal LCD screens and this gives you a crisper fast-action image. This is pretty much lost on me because most of the television watching I do now is golf on Sunday mornings. Not because I like golf or anything, but usually I'm trying to detox a bit and golf is generally so slow and uninteresting that I don't get sick.
RCA EZ201 Video CamcorderHow come sometimes it seems like all the technology that is supposed to make our lives easy ends up being a massive hassle? My desk is filled with gadgets that could maybe improve my quality of life, but I just am not willing to read the manual to figure it out. I don't mean to sound like my dad; he doesn't use ATM's because he thinks they're black magic. But really, why can't things just have an "off" and "work" button? The new EZ201 camcorder has a couple more settings than that, but still its easy to use and simple to operate.
Creative Zen Stone MP3 PlayerThe new Zen Stone is so small you're going to either loose it or, if you are feeble-minded, swallow it.
Fujifilm FinePix S700 Digital CameraYou know how in that movie "Fight Club" you find out the two characters are actually the same person, it's just the guy has insomnia and a vivid imagination? I'm the same way, but with liquor and pills. I usually get to work on Monday and download the images off my camera and wonder if I've accidentally grabbed the wrong one. Surely, these can't be my photos. I'm not very charismatic, I'm not very social and I generally avoid interaction with people unless absolutely necessary, but apparently not when I'm drinking. The FinePix S700, with clarity and quality, has shown me that apparently I'm spastic, crass and generally out of control.
Microsoft Surface ComputerRemember when pizza restaurants had those sit down Pac Man games for two people? Well someone at Microsoft does. The Microsoft Surface is a touch interface table top computer which is probably a long ways from being ready for home use and the price is probably insane, but check the website for a glimpse into the future. Sure it's got a creepy utopian vibe and I think the people in the videos are meant to be androids or something, but it's amazing regardless.
