Damn It These Are Dope

Nokia N770 Internet Tablet
Wi-Fi is rad, no doubt about that, but trying to actually browse the Internet on a cell phone is a less-than-enjoyable experience. Enter the Nokia N770. Designed for the rise of the number of hotspots, you'll be able to make the most of the technology. Now you won't have to carry your laptop and look like a salaryman trying to solicit college girls online at Starbucks.Coming this fall for around $350.

Sony PlayStation 3
This year's gaming-console battle has officially started, setting the stage for what promises to be inflated prices and massive lines this Christmas. The Sony PlayStation 3 comes in strong with a sleek, new case. The company is eluding to Bluetooth, backwards compatibility, memory sticks, and CompactFlash capabilities. It should be a fun New Year's alone in my room replaying Tomb Raider. It'll probably only take half the time, which is still two weeks.

Iriver H10 6GB Lounge Gray
It seems like more MP3 players hit the market everyday. I'm beginning to think the trend is going to be bigger than the 8-track madness of the '70s (that's what people said at least; I was 3). The newest from the iriver folks is a 6GB unit that allows you to view JPG images. It also supports MP3, WMA and ASF formats and has an onboard FM tuner. The most impressive feature is the 180-hour battery, which will help you finish your community service picking up trash from the side of the free on one charge.

Dell XPS Generation 2
We've always kind of mocked computers geared toward gamers because they were not only heavy but also about as subtle as a NASCAR T-shirt. Dell silences cynical bastards like us with its new portable gaming rig. The cool case is relatively lightweight and has enough power to school posers in the Doom chat rooms. Dell doesn't spit on its fans like the people who made Starship Troopers 2 did; the XPS still comes with disco lights in colors of your choosing. Roughnecks!

Microsoft Xbox 360
The old Xbox was a great gaming console, but it really looked like some kid designed it after drinking a six-pack of Mountain Dew. The new Xbox is more on par with the times and is just as promising.
