First-person shooters can all seem the same after awhile, so it's great when a game comes along that changes it up a bit, giving gamers a new experience. Ubisoft is one of the leading producers of first-person shooter games and takes it up a notch with their exclusive PS3 title Haze. In this futuristic game, it's 2048 and world governments have put their military operations into the hands of private military corporations or PMCs. Gamers play as Shane Carpenter, a new recruit for Mantel Global Industries; he is a trooper fighting the good fight. Or is it? Shane is sent into a war-torn country to battle a rebel faction known as the Promise Hand; from the beginning his assignments are action packed.

It's no secret that the Guitar Hero franchise is genius. It has turned millions of music fans from all corners of the world into guitar gods. But now, it's time to go from god to legend, in Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. The game features a huge new song list that covers 40 years of rock music across the gamut-from old school rock to punk, to heavy metal, grunge and more. Guitar Hero 3 offers more than just a new song list; developers amped up the competition with new game modes, expanded online options, overhauled graphics and included new wireless guitar controllers.

THQ's hot off-road racing series returns with MX vs. ATV Untamed, proving that it can still keep the racing action fresh and exciting. New game modes, huge outdoor environments and great online racing are just a few of the tasty racing treats offered. It's always appreciated when developers work hard to find new ways to challenge racing fans without resorting to gimmicky options. The new X-Cross Tournament is a stylish combination of eight different types of racing series, such as SuperMoto, Opencross and Endurocross, to create a racecourse that is both wild and challenging. Gamers need to use all their racing skills as the track changes throughout and can go from ripping through dirt tracks to dangerous trails, to making it past water pits and logs.

Army Of Two
Army of Two from EA takes the traditional third-person shooter and adds something extra-a partner. As one of the tag lines says: Never go into battle alone! Gamers play as ex-Army Rangers now working for a private military contractor sent out on missions around the world. Gamers must work with their teammate to not only complete the missions at hand but to become the most lethal team around. All of the game play missions, tactics and strategies were developed for this two-man partnership and it's great co-op game play from beginning to end. Don't worry if a buddy can't make it over to play, an AI teammate will step right in, and gamers can continue the action without interruption. On the other hand, if a buddy does make it over in time, he can just pick up the controller and jump right into the game, no need to restart or play a new game. It works in reverse as well, if someone has to leave, they just exit the game and the AI teammate will come back in to take over. This is a flexible feature that is available for both offline and online gaming. Nice.

MotoGP 07
The PS2 may be considered "last gen," but don't put it away just yet-there's still great gaming life left in it and with Capcom's MotoGP '07, gamers have another great reason to plug in their controllers. MotoGP '07 is an officially licensed title so it showcases the riders, their bikes, teams and tracks from the '07 racing season. This is a full-on racing experience and gamers of all skill levels will be able to take part in the action. For those who are new to racing or aren't used to racing motorcycles, it makes sense to take advantage of the riding aids provided, like adjusting the skill levels of other AI riders competing in the race. This way gamers can be assured of getting a fair race and won't come away disappointed or bored from being constantly beaten by perfect AI drivers. For gamers with sweet skills, try to up the challenge by controlling the rider's position on the bike, and the front and rear brakes for the ultimate control around tight turns and for slick maneuvers.

God Of War: Chains Of Olympus
Kratos goes portable as God of War: Chains of Olympus comes to the PSP. The game is completely original and developed specifically for the PSP so gamers aren't getting just a part of the PS2 titles already released. Chains of Olympus takes place before the events of the first God of War, and players travel back to the time when Kratos' was just a mere slave to the Gods of Olympus. But something has happened and the world has been plunged into eternal darkness, the Gods have lost their powers and now Kratos must decide: Does he go for his own personal redemption or does he save the world before it perishes completely? Another epic adventure awaits as Kratos' fate takes him to the dark worlds of Greek Mythology where he faces all new creatures, takes on new puzzles to solve and must battle his way through bosses and armies to make it through to the end.

After several years absence from the gaming scene, Capcom's Devil May Cry series returns to consoles and PCs with the fourth installment of the franchise. Demon killer Dante returns in top fighting form, but now he shares top billing with the game's newcomer, Nero. Nero belongs to an elite group of fighters called the "Holy Knights" who are part of a religious organization known as the "Order of the Sword." The Order of the Sword has sworn an oath to rid the world of evil. Conflict arises when Nero is out one day and spies Dante ruthlessly killing Nero's fellow warriors. Gamers must find out whether Dane and Nero will be fierce foes throughout, or if they will form an alliance to go after something bigger and more evil?

Sega resurrects their Sega Rally series by releasing Sega Rally Revo, a dynamic, arcade-style racing game that updates their classic series for all the latest consoles. Taking advantage of all that new console power, both the tracks and the cars look great with crisp visuals and saturated colors. Since the vehicles are the most important part of a racing game, Sega licensed over 30 vehicles that can be completely customized from a variety of makers such as Toyota, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Peugeot. Tracks include a wide range of both on and off-road courses in unique environments like the Arctic, canyon, safari and lakeside. Vehicles include both 2WD and 4WD so that tackling icy, muddy, or sandy tracks in an aggressive no-holds-barred manner is not only possible but fun too.

Unreal Tournament is back. The big, badass game that started on the PC and paved the way for shooters like Halo and Killzone has returned to both the PC and the PS3, but rumor has it that it will make it to the 360 sometime this year. The Unreal franchise is developed by Epic Games, the same company that brought gamers last year's phenomenal hit, Gears of War. If anyone knows their way around a battlefield and how to create an amazing arsenal of weapons, it's these guys. Unreal Tournament 3 is filled with a variety of weapons and vehicles that are sure to obliterate opponents in dozens of dastardly ways, and who doesn't want that?

Not only do Nathan and company get stranded on the island, but he and his friends are also in danger and must stay ahead of the mercenaries on the island looking to kill them. The question is: Will you be able to survive long enough to unravel the mystery of the island, find the treasure and make it back safely? To answer that you need to fire up the PS3 and take Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for a spin to see if you can hack it as a big-time fortune hunter.

Survival horror games have been a staple of consoles and PCs for ages but are still scarce in the handheld-console world. Even more rare is an M-rated game exclusively for the DS, but the developers at Renegade Kid studios are out to prove that Nintendo's DS is great for more than just Pokemon and Mario games with their excellent debut of Dementium: The Ward. It starts off like all good survival horror games-with confusion, creepiness and some in-your-face action to get the party started and the blood flying.

Electronic Arts, better known as EA Games, began developing a fresh new gaming concept in 1992. Teaming with the staff of automotive magazine Road & Track, EA developed a marginally realistic driving simulation for that era that cowered away from the typical arcade-type vehicles and their cartoon-like movements. In 1995 the game was finally released, to the delight of automotive gaming fans across the world who spent long hours behind the boob tube, evading the police who were in hot pursuit of their favorite cars while unlocking special contents within the game with every achieved goal. Twelve years have come and gone since the first Need For Speed landed on store shelves, and all the while EA has managed to continually raise the bar in automotive gaming with the release of 13 unique NFS games (15 counting PSP versions), with this year marking their latest and most highly anticipated release of Need For Speed Pro Street.

You've got to hand it to Activision, it can't be easy trying to keep their long-running Tony Hawk franchise fresh and interesting year after year. Somehow, they manage to pull it off and this year is no different with their latest, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. In Proving Ground it's all about what kind of skater you want to be, and once you choose, the game tailors itself around those objectives. They don't call this game "Proving Ground" for fun, if you like to skate, it's time to prove yourself to the rest of the world, from neighborhood rivals to your favorite all-star pro skaters like Tony Hawk himself.

It's always exciting when a great racing series releases its next title, and for fans of the Project Gotham series, it's time to get out the 360 and take it for a spin with Project Gotham Racing 4. Developers have expanded the series with some big upgrades and additions to make sure that PGR 4 remains fresh and fun, and avoids becoming a boring retread of the last title.

It's time to put away those epic, serious games and instead break out the Wii and get ready to kick some monster ass as Atari releases Godzilla: Unleashed. Specially designed for the Wii, Godzilla: Unleashed is a fighting game that makes good use of the controllers so that anyone can pick it up go for it. The game is well balanced so that more skilled gamers will still get the challenge they need, while still being fun for casual players, too.

You are a feared assassin named Altair and are known for your ruthlessness. Your identity is shrouded in secrecy and your goals are simple: Eliminate both sides of the conflict in order to put an end to the warring factions tearing the world apart. The catch here is that gamers must take a journey back in time to 1191 A.D and in the middle of the conflict of the Third Crusade that threatens to destroy the Holy Land. Ubisoft takes players into exciting new territories of gameplay that push the boundaries of gaming by immersing players into a vibrant, living world with life-like details and atmosphere.

Until now, when gamers thought of horror games, both the Silent Hill andResident Evil series often top the list. With the multi-platform release of Clive Barker's Jericho, those two game franchises have a worthy challenger for the title of "horror master." The difference here is that unlike Silent Hill and Resident Evil, Clive Barker's Jericho isn't a survival horror game, but a squad-based action horror game played from the first-person perspective.
